So I'm pretty new to payday and had a question concerning the single player. I usually prefer the single player aspects of games like this(left 4 dead, payday, etc), and most of the times the AI is pretty good and helpful.
However I was looking around and apparently they downgraded the AI for Payday 2. Evidently, the AI in the first game is pretty good while in the second it's dumb as shit.

Any truth to this? Am I better sticking to Payday 1 if I'm about SP?

It will probably be a successful project in the long run.

- The players of PD2 have a very narrow view and only see their "own little world" where they've bought the game and wish/expect it to be/stay as they want it (And some players are completely out of touch and have zero perception of reality and what expectations and demands you should have and not understanding how much free content you should get from paying 200 SEK (Around 20 USD?) in 2013.

- Would the players rather have a PD2 free from DLC/MT that died out and lost support from Overkill during spring becaus the company had to release the next game to generate revenue? Everything can be improved but most of what Overkill has done is good and done in a fair way.

As Almir says time and time again in the 2 hour long interview, they were very clear what the $20 Completely Overkill Pack was about when it was released several months ago. It was a voluntary way to support overkill and add more hype fuel to the event, for those that could afford it. For that you would get a random reward from 25 possible things.

The thing that people are nagging about that Overkill has promised (Forumpost May 2013) "No MT" and that they have lied is ridiculous if you look at it from a mature realistic perspective with correct facts. But now the players aren't able to do that and that's why the company must select their wordsand only talk to them from the players point of view.

Almost everyone knew that Payday 2 is a moving game where its setting and content changed a lot since its release , the scandal from the MT is mainly because of the really bad timing and the huge amount of money people already spent in previous dlc.

For the COP, yeah they sticked to their word, the team bonus being actually so little due to fucked up mechanisms it can be seen as cosmetic. People still excepted a bit more from six months of wait than just a different version of the FWB and slaughter safes they gained it for free during Crimefest II.
