Have some patience and save your fuel. I'm constantly hovering around 200 fuels without buying more fuel(had in the past), but I'm not spending unless it's 6 fuel weekend(which saw me use about 40 stocked), or something I REALLY want. I just made sure to get my favorite plane.

Most of the time I'll just aim to complete challenges if I consider benefits are worthwhile compared to cost of creating the aircraft set, research refunds lost, upgrade costs, and opportunity costs of missing out on S ranks, and thus credits.

The fact I frequently get top 3000 without trying is just a bonus.

Damn son, I've only used like 12 stocked in my life and I've never gone much higher than 50. I only used them one day when I wanted to play more than 15 minutes and then another time on a special raid.

The thing that sucks is that by the time I ever get a special plane, I would already have the standard counterpart at like level 20 or something. All those credits down the drain.

I'm pretty sure you can restrict roughly by MR if you change the search range. There's narrow, standard, wide, and maybe one more category.

I'm not seeing many rooms with restricted cost, which isn't surprising because I doubt many high MR players want to impose handicaps when they can just fly with other high MR players.

The thing is that the standard search range restriction is default, so in these countless rooms where I'm seeing 7 1500 players and one 2000, that means the host went out of his way to widen the search range so we can all get clubbed. They never put cost restrictions on the room either, so it's like they deliberately want to get clubbed or want others to get clubbed. It makes no sense. They're almost making if infinitely worse by creating 8 player rooms instead of 4 or 6 players, which means that there's even fewer scraps left over for the low MR guys and the one high MR guy just sweeps the entire map before anyone can even lock onto a target.

So what ends up working better for <1500 cst, dropping levels and keeping parts or dropping less levels and using no/small parts?

That has to be one of the most pathetic excuses for owning two PS3s that I've heard of if it's true. Before this update, I only saw that happening every once in a while, but today it was legitimately happening in every single room I joined except for two of them.

Like I said, that's not the only unusual thing happening. Nobody was joining low MR clubber-free rooms to the point where it was always stuck on 5/6 or 6/8. All the host had to do was change the fucking number of players but instead we all just sat there for 15+ minutes waiting for one person that never showed up, at which point I would just try to find another room that inevitably had a clubber in it.

I'm a bit higher on the MR side of things sitting at 1948 but I don't fly meta or goyplanes at all, my best plane is a tie between my level 13 Super Tomcat and my level 11 Pixy Eagle. I fly a lot of idolplanes as well, so I have quite a few high level planes but nothing super fancy. I just got a vanilla rafale to 10 today though, haven't taken it for a spin yet. I made the same mistakes, that 6x sortie with research boosts was a great help fixing up mistakes. I used to buy fuel before I worked out extra hangar slots were more efficient,and the game has just kept chucking fuel at me like crazy! (touch wood) .

I've been just working on one plane at a time, taking to at least 7 for the low/mid tier. That Frogfoot has been awesome @7! the under 1500cst has breathed new life into the game for me.

Watch a few Youtube videos and practice expert controls in test flight for a little while. The biggest trick I learned was to always be attacking, always change targets, and keep laying down the law. When I first started, I would just keep focusing on one enemy and waste so much. Helped me go from like a 10k player to a 30-50k player.

I normally get grouped with good enough people that we hardly get below A rank but I haven't gotten above C since this tournament started. It's impossible to find the right conditions - right number of players, good MP but not too high, people who aren't retarded, and so forth.

Talking about P-38 -FA-, I fly a Spitfire. Is there any way to win a duel with a P-38? I get the feeling the best course of action is, unless I am directly behind them, to attempt to force a disengage because on the assumption of equal levels:

1. I can't chase because they can outrun me.
2. I can't joust because they outgun me.
3. They can outlast me because of their defense.

When dealing with enemy you can't out run or take head on you have to fly defensively. If a fast aircraft is on your tail you should try to force and over take. It's a lot less risky when dealing with Pistons v Piston because there's no risk of them popping homing missile up your arse if you're not good at pulling the maneuver. Still might take a little practice though.

I think it's gonna come or that they'll at least start working on it before abandoning it completely. ACI still has tens of thousands of players, which is absolutely massive for a game that is somewhat niche.

Someone else speculated that ACI is just a test bed for new ideas that still allows them to earn some extra money, and I agree. It was largely scrapped together using existing assets, so even a lot of players didn't drop any money into it, it's probably still turning a very nice profit considering they're still releasing new content and the servers don't look like they're going down any time soon.

Two of the biggest f2p games in the world have a robust trading system. There's no excuse for them not to have it. If their reasoning is because of what you mentioned, then that means that they fucked up in designing the game.

If they allowed you to respec or even reset your entire tree for some kind of penalty, then I would've gladly done it and never felt the need to start over with an alternate. There's no way that a person completely new to the game or new to the series is going to understand how everything works, including how long it takes to save credits, which parts are worth investing in, and which planes are worth prioritizing.
