It's funny that CB got these nerfs, because it's obvious that Capcom has no actual idea how their weapons work at all. CB losing its fluidity and options is just completely fucking retarded. In G-Rank, bad AEDs would constantly get your ass destroyed because the move itself is really laggy, but the damage payoff was big. It's a lot like the GS's charge in ways, but you have the guard point to help facilitate that. The Guard Point was literally the cornerstone of CB's gameplay, and they fucking destroyed it. It's back to the MH4 "mash buttons in sword mode then switch to axe mode to spam phials"

Capcom made a transformation weapon that actually has you relying on both forms and constantly switching, and then they proceeded to fuck it up in the next game instead of just nerfing the things that make sense like damage and KO while preserving CB's unique playstyle.

Well the new Heat system seems to be a straight upgrade, and allegedly, using Wyvern Fire locks your Heat in place for a while, so building up Heat, firing it off, then going in for some pokes might be pretty good.

It's not the best relic GS, but it's definitly usable. Polish/upgrade it if you like the skin/color.

The Special Note system is a small buff.

The Bushido follow-up attack is good, you get 3 free notes.

Aerial gets a 2 note bounce attack.

The 3 revealed Hunting arts are all pretty meh: The sonic boom is lackluster, the Special Note regardless of hitting the monster buff is just a crutch, and playing all your songs at once only applies to your hunter.

The fact that you can charge so quickly in the air rids the need for Focus.

And even without vaulting off of something, you can still get a jumping slash by attacking while evading with the GS, which allows for the roundhouse slash finisher.

Aerial sounds like some serious DPS if you can maximize your airtime, but Guild style and even Bushido style will also be some crazy stuff.
