Not as much broken promises, but a series of missteps that snowballed together into an endemic population exodus. And the guy who overpromised the most got cancer anyway.

Yes, but that's most of what they've been doing aside from the F2P transition. So very little new content aside from holidays (that were almost finished last year), and cash store stuff for the near future. They've talked about some new actual content, but no ETA as of yet.

They delivered on the majority of their promises, it's just what those promises actually were, and how retarded they were in a context of its own game.
It's more that they tried to double down hard on the softcore market who like to think they're big strong hardcore players, but in reality all the actual hardcore players refused to touch it at launch because 40 mans are retarded and attunements are doubley retarded, and trying to make sure 40 people are there, buffed, geared, runed, and attuned all at the same time was simply not worth doing, no matter how fun the raid might have been.
They since been trying to distance themselves from that, but it seems like, internally, there's a few loud core members who are married to the idea of hardcore raiding and raising a middle finger to the casual player base, which is a horrible idea since there's no content for those casuals to do that isn't mindless grinding.
Their best bet at surviving through 2016 is to ditch MUH #HARDCORE and start cranking out super accessible raids so there's some kind of difficulty ramp up to DS. The game DESPERATELY NEEDS a Karazhan.

Do your quests. Just do them. What you kill will supplement you enough to get the levels.
Once you reach a high enough level (usually in increments of five), just go to the next zone. Fuck completing every quest in a zone, just move on along. Also, it wouldn't hurt to queue up for dungeons as you quest. Helps you gear up AND gives a nice pile of EXP by the end of it.
Oh yeah, and if you have any flasks, notably Advancement flasks, use them.

To add to what this anon said, dungeons are bar none the best EXP in the game when you reach them. A dungeon that's new to you for your level is worth about 2 levels, with some of the later ones worth as many as four if you're all buffed out.

honestly wish there was a leveling add-on like WoW had where it gave me a roadmap of what quests to take and where to go to speed up leveling, or at least finding someone to join me in the leveling process, but oh well I'll do my best to find out when it's okay to ditch a world and move to the next.

Forget everything they said
1. Get signature status (25% exp, can get a box copy for 5 bucks at gamestop)
2. Join one of those mass recruiting guilds for 10% exp + exp flasks can be bought at your skyplot. Turn off chat if you don't wanna talk to them.
3. Don't do the same dungeon more than once. Once you out level it, you get terrible exp. It's cool to do if you are bored but it's not efficient.
4. Quest in areas that are 2-3 levels above you. 4 above and you won't get quests.
5. Save your R&R and EXP flasks for 40+. At that level, it's hard to stay in areas +2/3 levels ahead and slows down your leveling significantly. Prioritize Region/Zone/World quests over tasks.
5. PvP actually isn't bad EXP, but it's just an all around bad experience. It's not enjoyable at all.
Depending on how hardcore you are, you can level up in 2-3 days and then fuck up vet groups with horrible dps and lack of understanding gameplay mechanics.

/vg/ has never really had a significant presence in WildStar, much to my disappointment. I want to blame W*'s memetic status as being 'that game that tried and failed' for all of /vg/'s hate to it, but honestly it just boils down to there's really not a whole lot to do at 50.
People get bored, other games steal our attention, and we move on. We never have had a cemented /vg/ presence, and even in the early days of beta we had stupid drama.Like that shitposter who hates all of Dominion because of me for literally no reason outside of me being an ERPer.

Made it to lv 17 so far, and Explorer 12. I was added to a random guild, but I left it soon after because it was all randoms and no one talked to eachother.
I've cleaned out Everstar, Celesteon, Northern, and am halfway through Algeroc. Each has been interesting in its own way, but that might be because I am letting myself get immersed into the lore.
Housing is fun, but I need to be careful or I'll go broke.
I've taken up Tech and Relic hunter, but I tend to rely on my runes of protection, so all my crafted meds go to strangers I wander into during my travels.
I'll probably take quests in thayd more seriously after I finish Algeroc.

Also, it's surprisingly not from a discovery. It comes off of a rare mob in Whitevale that a Scientist has to scan. And it spawns at 22:00 world time. Not server time. /time and wait in Softsnow Meadows for 22:0:00 and then you can get it.
