Not him, but staying airborne makes your life easier. I use this rotation
jump > charge shot > kick > cs > dodge > cs (repeat depending on how many times you've upgraded evasion) > double jump > repeat
-learn to use the crouch-charged shot - it can double hit and if you max it out you'll shoot 5 arrows at once
-oil/toxin are great
-don't bother with the dagger build and other melee upgrades unless you want to roleplay

I think it's pretty good. Lots of events, decent crop variety, you can do some part time work for people to get some extra gold, and mining is pretty fun puzzle solving.
You have a grass field by your stables that is full of grass that grows and takes care of itself, so you don't need to worry about anything but cutting it for your animals.
Crops are based on 1x1 squares instead of 3x3 like other games though. And you get a lot less farmable land. You can walk between crops so it sort of makes up for it.

I'd definitely recommend it.
