I get offended at Clemency because it's a shit skill and I need the PLD to be putting out DPS.

Raise would at least give PLD the option to prevent a wipe if necessary, but I still probably wouldn't want them to raise. It will still be nice to have though in shitty situations.

there are a multitude of videos floating around of content, you'll notice any remotely good healer is stoneskinning weakened targets for heavy hitting mechanics. Feigning ignorance is not only silly but shows your inexperience with healing

That's kinda part of the reason why Paladin wasn't taken for savage though.

Besides generally being lower damage in progression it's niche is that it can pull horseshit like Clemency or Stoneskin where the other tanks can't, and that's something that was kind of supposed to promote "TP upkeep" on PLD, but it really doesn't work at all in much any content.

PLD stoneskin has always come in handy during times where there's nothing else to do, but the last time I actually remember it being relevant was in T5 where you'd have two paladins.

When it is easy to see outgoing damage, deaths, etc through fflogs, videos, and the like. Hell the picture I literally just posted shows 9k hp is not enough for cascade depending on what CDs are up. There is no reason to take that risk or burn harder CDs when Stoneskin is a GCD spell without a CD

Today I was forced to solo heal a warrior main tank in deliverance(?, the dps stance) with full slaying accessories set MTing Thordan. I had to leave because they were blaming me when he was dropping from tankbuster and cleaves Instant kill. I couldn't even precast heals because I'd have to have ping 0 to counter it. Was it my fault?

It's hard to be sure without a video, but possibly. It he was getting one shot by stuff then the real issue is his cooldown usage. If he was dropping when he had like 7k hp to begin with, then cds might be an issue, but heals as well could be a problem. Unless you know a fight really well, or if you know the tank and they are legit, it's best to be /extremely/ cautious healing when someone is in dps stance.

I don't want to start a philosophical debate about whether it's best to run balls out dps when you are learning or farming/clearing with a pug group, speaking only for myself as a healer I probably would have asked him to go into defiance until I got more comfortable with the flow of damage. Thordan isn't a fight where 1k dps from the tank is necessary.
