After actually playing the games, I agree that Keifer is a better and more convincing Big Boss in the realm of facial capture.

Something tells me his potential was wasted when they relegated 80% of the plot to tapes, presuming that they already had the facial capture down and recorded. Even an optional cutscene of the two talking with the iDroid out would've satisfied diehard fans. I honestly have no clue how much of performance and talent was in terms of % on the budget. But,

In fairness, Randolph's Huey voice sounds poorer than Octocon. Is it because he has to control his facial expressions because of the facial capture?

Don't put words in my mouth. The Chapter system as a whole was a mistake. Chapter 1 was the main campaign, chapter 2 was an epilogue that slowed the pace. It's pretty much MGSV's version of NG+, but with added story content, and a few new missions dispersed throughout. Chapter 1 is longer than literally every past MGS campaign has been, and is a lot better in gameplay, at least in my opinion. Story leaves a bit to be desired, but the gameplay is just that good that I can forgive it. Chapter 1 on its own was outstanding, Chapter 2 was a nice piece of post-game content.

Helicopter rides. Every mission starts with those inane chopper rides and some end with them. Once you get off the chopper, you always have to travel through a couple minutes of nothing before you get to the object area. Then there's the constant idroid browsing. Constantly sending faceless troops on intangible missions to get you minuscule rewards that need to be manually accepted. Waiting for items to develop. Waiting for mother base to expand. Waiting waiting waiting. Grinding grinding grinding. All for a story that has no payoff. I mostly kept playing after chapter 1 because I was waiting for it to get to the missing link part and actually go somewhere. Never had this issue. They don't put you in the fucking outpost no, because that'd be stupid. The game also encourages recon, so no wonder it puts you a decent distance from the outpost. But if you seriously had to travel for "minutes" then you must be fucking crawling or something. Sprinting in this game is insanely fast, and you have a fucking horse.
