80 Hours in and first raid attempt. Maybe i should gear my ladies with something else than dress.

How can i send more people to my trading empire? That option is blurry and doesnt seem to go away even if i make room and send several people to other locations.

Help me to understand power armor a little bit.

Once I get the armor, it cant be damaged and destroyed can it? I just 'repair' the parts?

I used my armor, and all the pieces fell off during combat, took it home and it was just a frame, and i sort of rebuilt new pieces?

If the pieces dont fall off, i can take them home and repair them for less materials than rebuilding them, correct? Or am I wrong.


Also, I didn't realise that there were multiple tiers of armor you can find. To clarify, you find the new armor pieces on frames or some shit, its not like i find an arm piece on some raider or something? I dont physically carry the pieces of armor in my inventory or anything?

Hey /fog/. I'm level 15 and have been mostly following the main quest line but also doing some interesting side quests that I find.

Things are starting to get a little too difficult, too much "tactical" quick saving and loading, and frequently dying dozens of times getting through a quest. Going to try to move backwards a bit, do some more quests, generally explore and try to upgrade my guns and armor a little more.

Does anyone have any other tips for when things start to get a bit too difficult? I don't really want to turn down the difficulty if it's not necessary. Molotov cocktails, specifically, have been fucking my shit up on a regular basis.

I'm doing the brotherhood lost patrol quest chain and finishing up...

So according to these holotapes it sounds like just a regular mission gone wrong scenario, and I get to Paladin Brandis' bunker. He's alive in there, but my objective immediately turns to "kill Paladin Brandis" and he's hostile as soon as I enter. I paste his brains of course, but Danse is with me and he hates what I did. How is this quest supposed to end? Was Brandis a coward who fucked over his team and needed to die or something? I thought the whole point was to save him. Is that the only way this quest can end or did I miss something?

I have a supper hammer that does 25% more damage to all. I also have that melee perk maxed.
I still didn't upgrape it because I was on one quest, but men, it's already on 520 of damage or so, a beast. I one hit KO one of these big monsters I don't remember the name.

It's allright. The Bugs and glitches were to be expected from Beth so I can deal with them.

The biggest letdown for me is that they casualized the game even more to a point where I wouldn't call it an RPG anymore.

I love the density of places to explore and the obvious care that was put into world building on the other hand. Haven't progressed in the main story for two days now and instead been exploring some rather awesome locales.

STR: 4, rather low, but with the bobblehead and spending a perk I will be able to get strong back at some point
PER: 4, with the bobblehead early on I will be able to craft my own explosives at 5 PER
END: 7, Adamantium Skeleton plus Cannibalism with the Bobblehead
CHA: 3, for Lone Wanderer
INT: 1, unless later melee schematics require SCIENCE!
AGI: 1, Blitz, while nice I dont have the extra points for it for a super long time
LUC: 2, for Fortune Finder and Scrounger, purely for cash since I will not use any bullets

This puts me at 15 points, with 7 (remember the SPECIAL book under Shaun's changing table) points leftover at the start. What do I do with the 7 points?

I am unsure whether to buy this game or not, i am a bit short on money

I personally only really care about the RPG mechanics / elements of the series. having a specific character skill / stats build, crafting, having multiple options to approach a quest, choosing to play a specific play-style until you reach late game god mode status.

fallout 4 good in this regard? How does it compare to the newer and older titles in the series?

So, I just did Devil's Due. Got the Pristine Deathclaw Egg, then went to the nest. I saw the Deathclaw Gauntlet already sitting there, so I took it. The "friendly" Deathclaw is just sitting here, looking at me now. I still have the egg.

You won't need Scrounger/Fortune Finder for money as melee. You'll find plenty enough as it is, to pass off as a fucking Wasteland Sheikh. If nothing else, you can do the purified water farms.

Strong Back is unnecessary with Lone Wanderer.

Melee schematics later on will require SCIENCE! yes.

I would pump more points into Strength so you can get Rooted. Rooted sounds a bit bad at first, but +50 damage resistance and +50% damage when standing still is nothing to scoff at. With all ranks of melee damage, and that, you do double damage + 50% more damage ontop of that with melee weapons. Also works as a life-saver if you need to pop stimpacks.

I would ignore Adamantium Skeleton, it's something that can be fixed with stimpacks. Put those points into Toughness/Lifegiver instead.
