Zeratul can still consider himself lucky. I wonder if anyone will get the Stitches treatment again.

For a year I've fought to get out of shitter MMR. Now I'm finally doing it and man, the match quality seems to have gotten much better. It actually seems to reward individual skill more, now that most people are on even grounds on experience. It's really fun.

That said, I recommend everyone who is stuck in shitter platinum, to create a smurf account after you're confident in your skill. I would've saved months of time and frustration had I done this. It's really a huge difference.

Because pure sieging/split-pushing tactics don't work in a game where the objective will automatically do that 10x better than you can and you have to fight the enemy team to win that objective.

Heroes like Abathur can split push because they don't have to commit themselves to it.

Gazlowe is easily the worst character in the game. He can't do shit on any map and if you pick him in ranked, you deserve to be put in leavers queue.

I've been playing off and on since alpha and I'm wanting to get into the game a little bit more. I'm comfy with Thrall, Sonya, Tass, and Uther to a point where I rarely lose while playing and get more compliments than expected while playing Thrall (are Thrall players really that bad?) but I'm looking for a change of pace. Hoping to have someone give me some suggestions on a new hero to try, as an example ranged assassin sounds neat. Mostly looking for something fun and satisfying to get to know.

tl;dr Looking for a new hero to play. Competent Thrall, Sonya, Tass, Uther. Could I get some suggestions?

I find Falstad really fun as a ranged assassin, though he's not particularly strong. The amount of mobility and being able to quickly reposition can lead to some exciting plays

Tyrande is tricky to play right, but she's crazy fun if you know what you're doing. Multiple viable talent builds depending on team comp and how you're feeling.

Stitches will probably never be good again, but the hook will always be fun and the hook->gorge->walk into your base combo never gets old.

Abathur is about as much of a change of pace as you can get, and there's something to be said for being the base commander/power behind the throne.

Is it a safe bet that tomorrow's downtime will be closer to 8 hours, instead of 4

His damage is too widespread and hard to focus into a single target. He looks good on the scorescreen but in coordinated team play it's hard to burn down your teams target when your frogs and spiders just jump right pass them.

Dota and LoL have absolutely boring laning phases that basically never end. This game is actually fun in my opinion. Quick matches, solid gameplay, mostly great characters, a lot of variety between maps.

Dota2: Overall, I think it is a great game and perhaps better than HotS, but I feel a lot of the mechanics in Dota 2 are there just to pointlessly complicate the game. I don't mind last hitting, but denying and the extreme itemization is kinda shit.

Also, if Dota 2 had shorter matches and a way to pick your hero before the match (like in quick matches in HotS), I would play it a lot more. Nothing worse than being harassed before the match even began because you picked, idk, Broodmother.

LoL: Terrible character design. I downloaded it too see if the game was fun, but it did nothing better than Dota 2, so I quickly deleted the game.

I also like Awesomenauts, but the game in comatose, sadly.

I tried dota a bit but never really got into it. Played league a bunch though, and overall I like the hero kits in this game way more. All the new champs in league all began to follow a predictable pattern and that made the game really boring for me. There's no way riot would let cool shit like abathur or cho'gall into their preapproved homogenized anti-toxic mess of a game.

Gazlowe isn't considered top tier. He can't fight for much be can own an area of ground. Guess what Haunted Mines is all about? It's about owning ground. You own the mine entrance and then the enemy team can't do anything about it. Just because he's not in some top twelve heroes doesn't mean he's bad, it just means he takes some thought to use. If it were up to you people every team composition would be the same in every game. The variability between heroes is what makes Heroes of the Storm a truly great game.

I literally have no clue what happened here, but I'm pretty certain we got matched up against a team of disguiser beginner AI - or this is just the depths of rust league.

Actually, that's how it's meant to go. The game rewards solid late game performance, but if you played properly enough to bring a couple of keeps down you'll get there easier.

This is one of the things that will be changed in the next patch, as you'll be able to spend almost twice the time under the towers during early game, making it far easier to throw a game before the 20 minute mark.

The best defense is a good offense. If you group up at their immortal, they are forced to either race or split. The immortal itself is easy to play around, so it doesn't really 'help' at a teamfight. BUT, AoE can and will hurt the immortal at the same time since the enemy will be close to it to block it. So even if you do end up fighting around an immortal, it isn't good for the immortal.

Yeah, they're looking at the scaling of NPCs like towers. What I like about it, is how it makes difference between classes more noticeable. Tanks can indeed tank, but assassins can also assassinate other assassins and specialists. However, I'm imagining weird issues like Rexxar being able to solo a boss at level 1. All in all I think the changes are for the better, almost necessary. It's not okay for Thrall to get 25% more health and damage between levels 1 to 2, but only 3% between 19-20.

And the award for the longest game of the day goes to...

This one was...tedious after a while, but fun for a lot of the early game, because of Mental Acuity boosted Oracle constantly frustrating Zeratul's efforts to do anything. Managed to get each of the early DKs without much trouble.

Honestly I think it got turned around at the point where Artanis stops being utterly useless - both of our DPS were pretty much garbage and fucked up all of the picks I could have landed with Force Wall. It makes sense as well given how we had Jaina and Zagara (early game) versus Kael and Artanis (late game)

Uther took himself up as the team captain here, sometimes spending 20+ seconds soloing a merc camp before anyone else arrived. He also didn't take cleanse against Murky. Said Murky just picked off Zagara and Jaina constantly past 16 and 20, even right through my Q and storm shield. Jaina didn't take ice block, and neither DPS took bolt, instead choosing Wintermute and FotS respectively.

What I was very impressed with was the enemy Kael'Thas who didn't choke in all of the 33 minutes, with the kicker being...he took Gathering power! With his +15% ability power and never dying, he...still got outdamaged by Artanis.

I was pretty pleased with my perfect run, managed to disjoint Octograb at one point during the end. We sort of had to give up the 2 DKs past 25min because at that stage I think our DPS got tired and began twatting around.

You only get Cho.

If you're playing Gall and Cho get DC'd, the AI takes over Cho and you can then ping the map to make Cho move where you want him to take you.

Symbioting Cho'gall means only one hat because they're one body.

When Cho'gall takes a Terror or DK, Cho will control it and Gall will still be able to cast his spells.

I'm not sure, but I'd assume the same for Stitches if he were to eat Cho'gall.

I can't think of any other question that would be asked about Cho. I believe Gall is immune to CC, so Gall will always be doing stuff.

I have considered Twitch and realise I need to get around to seeing what streaming software is compatible with what I run. Then again, most people are only interested in seeing rank 1 / high MMR play and that's definitely not something I can offer, and the mistakes I make aren't glaring or drastic enough to make one of those "oh aren't I so silly" channels.

I can help you with Twitch. Do you "run" something special that needs different compatibility, or why do you worry about that? Just set up OBS, a free software that works perfectly with Twitch. Some people MIGHT be interested in watching some of this analytical trash or whatever you're doing, it's not all required to be rank 1 and masters league. Right now would also be the best spot to start something, as the audience/viewer base is growing and so is the popularity of content makers, same for Youtube.

Remove Use CBR or you're having performance problems, and drop the quality balance to 0, see if that affects it. Test bit rates between 500-900 if you're dropping frames. I think you've got it set up perfectly. Just keep your browser closed and only view it through the preview window without sounds, or on your cellphone or something.
