I'm also torn between the ER PPC or the large pulse. Large pulse has better heat management and deals more damage, but PPC does some splash damage in addition to 10 damage to the point it hit?

I'm actually mastering the Kit Fox now. It's a good supporting Mech. My favorite builds are 4XSRM6 with no ECM or 1XLarge Pulse Laser, 2XER Medium Laser.

Spending $30 on this Mech is not a good idea. Just buy it with C-Bills. It's not that expensive for a clan Mech.

And for some reason this is considered a boon. Even if you do flank successfully you completely lack the firepower to do anything significant. If you get a backshot you'd need the target to stay oblivious to you for another 4-5 volleys before you could actually kill it.

Of course when they notice you, you're fucked because your fat slow ass isn't going anywhere fast and is outmaneuvered by lights with ease which you also can't kill because you lack the sustained firepower to kill one. You might have good alpha but you can't do more than 2 shots without overheating.

Don't play mediums. If you wanna go fast go play a light, if you want guns play a heavy or assault.

Also, the SQUARED SQUARES aesthetic of MWO doesn't do it much favors since the mech is meant to be pretty rounded overall. The perfectly curved cockpit glass is missing, for one, as is the camera mounted on the forehead. Searchlight is absurdly small, shoulder equipment is too tightly bound to the side torsos rather than being on a short pylon with a slight offset, CT is too bulbous and thick, the two toes are too small and stubby...

But really, so as long as it looks familiar enough from the same promo angle, it will be minimally viable.

Heat sinks have their dissipation doubled while submerged in water, right? Even torso ones count if they are in water rather than just the leg mounted ones? 0.12 dissipation for external SHS sounds like they could be used in a viable niche build for waterlogged maps. That engine heat sinks get a smaller bonus of 1.1 still means that doubles will always be an upgrade though.

Taking 3 to 6 months to seriously address balance when it mostly involves tweaking numbers in a database for weapons and mech quirks is definitely something that requires no money at all.

It's something that should be done on a weekly basis and without needing any prompting from the community.

That they fucked up as often as not when addressing balance in 2015 is neither here nor there, but speaks to either an incompetence or lack of caring.

That they for the most part did very little balance work in '13 and '14 is really fucked up.

"Princessbot" and "Omega" are separate terms.

The bot was using the Omega superheavy mech. Those gauss rifles really hurt my poor Hollander which couldn't do shit. Griffins jumping around did some serious damage to it though before finally losing.

Your build has piss for frontloaded damage. 5 large-class lasers means you have to stagger three different groups. Just use a more conventional 2x LPL 2x ERPPC build instead. If you absolutely want to use ERLLs for CW poke battles, try three of them along with a gauss rifle. That build of mine can fit an extra medium laser as well.
