Given the lead up to Yharnam Queen, I was expecting a bit more from her. Was anyone else disappointed?

Despite his reputation, Watchdog didn't give me all that much trouble. Took a few attempts to get his moveset down, but after that it was one of the most enjoyable boss fights I've ever had, including the bosses in Demons Souls and both Dark Souls games.

Amygdala can go get fucked. What a stupid fight.

I managed to beat Pthumerian Descendant and Bloodletting beast on my second attempts but it was really sloppy, using all of my vials in both cases.

They fixed the duping glitch in one of the first patches. The only other "game-breaking" glitch that I can recall was the rifle spear glitch:

Nope, both Lower Pthumeru and Lower Hintertombs get sinister chalices. Depth 3 sinisters are the fastest ones you can get to.

I think From honestly believed people would be playing through the chalice dungeons as they played the main story, and planned for depth 3 to be around where people would be just before NG+. In that case, depth 3 sinisters would be for the people who wanted to play at level 80-100 ish.

And I just learned yesterday that you don't even need all of the sinister chalices to get access to their dungeons, because they use the normal root chalices for some reason.

Because sinister dungeons actually make it harder to have 1v1 pvp. If another invader pops up while you're fighting someone and you die, they just lost a whole lot of time that could be spent fighting someone else.

They're great for just fighting random invaders via SRRC or hosting a tournament, though. We have tournaments sometimes, and I've been invaded three times trying to get a max Eye rune.

Rifle spear is one of the best pvp weapons in the game when used properly. It's shotgun damage isnt amazing but when you learn to use the moveset properly it can completely dominate players because of the range and speed of it's pokes coupled with slower horizontal attacks to throw off their timing and keep them at bay

There are no tanks in bloodborne, no matter how much you invest into vitality.

Level vitality to 40-50, don't raise endurance past 20. Then, pick one of strength, skill, bloodtinge, or arcane to raise to 50, and pick one of strength, skill, or arcane to make 25 as an optional secondary stat if your weapons can support it. If not, or if you don't have enough levels to spare, then it's fine to just stick with the 50 in one stat.

Depends on what you mean by it. In absolute terms the invader got the insight and echoes he theoretically came for, which is the same reason that dying at the same time is always a win for the invader; the host gets a health and numbers advantage, but also has the burden of needing to secure a clean win, where a red can win by the skin of his teeth.

But in the sense of proving who is the better player, it's a wash. I know I find nothing less satisfying than an invasion where I don't find the guy before he dies. I don't measure the success of an invasion in terms of insight and echoes I have almost no use for, I measure it in terms of fun had. I at least want to watch if a host dies to the environment, so I can laugh at him.

Evenlyn and hunter's pistol have a quick rate of fire and long range. Evelyn has a ton of damage.

Well I dive there at every opportunity and wail on them while he does his combos that can't get me. E.g. the 3x ground pound followed by the swipe, or the two really wide reaching swipes that in phase 2 ends with a third pound.

His stomp and his slam are really easy to dodge so I don't have any problem with HBLB. BLB's grab attack is the classic souls series teleport grab too.

I didn't have any trouble with them on my first run-through of chalices, but when I ran into regular BLB in RFC depth 5 later, he wrecked my shit. Never had to learn him the first time going through the chalices since I had 3x 19.8% gems by the time I made it to him, so when I fought him with real stats I didn't expect some of the differences between him and headless. Still, they are more or less the same. After getting used to them, I find headless to be slightly harder. Regular BLB can't combo into the slam after punching the ground like Headless can, and I find avoiding the grab to be easier than i-framing the slam.
