You could give it some time. I didn't even gauntlet until my second week or so since I was busy all gauntlet days. By the time I tried, I was already more or less going infinite. I'd say wait 5 days or so before you blow all your gold. Learn all the cards from the wiki while you're at it, knowing what your opponents can do will greatly expand your match knowledge.

My issue with aggro has always been the fact that I can spend 25 minutes winning a control match to earn a star and then lose that star in 4 minutes to an aggro deck.
