Holy god Vincent is horrible.

41 DEF and 50 RES at level 50. 67 DEF and 76 RES at level 80. And he's not even strong magically to compensate; only 122 MAG at level 50. That's still really good, but there's several less fragile characters with more MAG.

His ATK is also pretty good, but the issue is his skillset is 5* black 4* summon, so it's only useful for autoattacking if you have his magic-boosting gun.

And yes, he is inferior to Krile in every relevant way but having a second memory crystal. Loli bias confirmed?

Just a side-post here, with the recent update for XI they added the ability to essentially master your job. Which means getting max level and using max merit & job points in that job.

The WORLD of Eorzea, and its lore and backstory and all that sort of thing - is absolutely fantastic and fairly well realised and all that, not to mention beautiful.

The plot and quests and missions and stuff, felt, for the most part, abominably boring. It does a pretty poor job of making you care for the characters, and heavily revolves around your character being the one true fucking saviour of everything.

In an MMO, that bugs the shit out of me. There is some more interesting political conflict later on, though.

Currently the only level 80. Wide equipment range. In addition to his SSB he can also do cross slash to paralyze. His skill set isn't too bad either. If you're only going to take one melee in your party you'd be hard pressed to select anyone different.

I can tell you the story of any every mainline game in a summary but with XIV I literally don't remember a thing about it despite me playing it almost daily.

But I think it's weird that only the counter and descend attacks are still customizable. The article says that leaving the slots empty prevents switching automatically:

I tend to fight harder mobs for more per kill exp. You can do your own thing though. Exp is easy to get.
