I ran 20 magic pen and 9 armor for runes and went 18/6/6 for masteries to just see how crazy I could get and damned if it didn't work. I died a little bit more than I was comfortable with, but I attribute that to my team kinda fucking around in fights and my build (I built a liandry's and spell pen boots) more than anything else. I can't do big LCS plays under turrets anymor ebecause they buffed creep blocking, you will get blocked very easily and unable to escape tower hits, you can't do anything you could do last patch.
