That's the thing, though, I kind of don't know how.

I don't understand how I can shove 180 active esps down Fallout 3's gullet in one go using the worst mod manager in existence and still have it play nice with me, yet have Skyrim kick me in the nads every step of the way. Made progress last night, installed roughly thirty mods with MO (most of them UI shit), slapped on an ENB preset and called it good after checking to make sure it didn't crash. Picked up where I left off a few hours ago, installed a few combat mods, rebuilt my bashed patch, ran LOOT, booted up SKSE, crash. Uninstalled new mods, rebuilt patch, ran LOOT, SKSE, crash. Uninstalled every mod, deactivated Bashed patch, SKSE, crash. Deleted ENB files, SKSE, crash. Ran Skyrim normally through launcher, good to go. Ran Skyrim through MO, good to go. SKSE through MO, crash. So it's SKSE. I don't know why this is an issue just now after it worked fine last night. Does MO have it's own built-in version of SKSE and I just fucked it up by installing it beforehand or what? I have never been more pissed off in my life, this is the sixth time this year I've tried to mod Skyrim.

OCO2 uses Blockhead for gender specific textures and head meshes. OCO1 uses one mesh and texture for both genders.

You'll need to change your filenames to make OCO1 utilize Blockhead, that would probably be the quickest way.

Keep in mind that using OCO2 textures with the .egt files from OCO1 will mean that you'll get a serious case of double eyebrows and the general nastiness of the Oblivion faces (green lips, etc.), so it won't look the exact same as OCO2 unless you grab those files and put them in the right place.

Alternatively you could just get OCO2 and then change the head meshes. But then that might cause NPC faces to get real distorted unless you manually generated new ones.

It's relatively simple stuff but it's not easy to explain. I've been fucking with my faces for ages and only just found something I'm happy with. I'd share it but it's a mishmash of a bunch of different mods and the file structure is a fucking mess.

What's really surprise me if how it still dwemer metal to recycle millenia after all the dwemers disappeared, making it impossible to create new metal, and how nobody could recreate it. Also, it seems really difficult to make for something weaker than orcish, ebony or daedric. Not sure it's worth all that shit, so what's the real use of the dwarven metal? Why not using simple iron, steel, or even ebony when making the automatons?

FO4 has plenty of sidequests, just like Skyrim. I'm not quite sure about an equivalent to daedric/divine quests, and there's no DLC for FO4 just yet. Really, both games are severely lacking in content. When FO4 gets DLC (if it does), then it will basically be on-par with Skyrim with content.

No there's plenty of factions in Fallout 4. Shows how much you obviously don't know about the franchise, or the game you're trying to argue against.

For example, Skyrim has the Forsworn, and Fallout has the Gunners. You can't play as them, or join their faction, but you can do quests that involve killing them.

In Skyrim I know that physics will flip out if you turn off vsync but it can be fixed by simply capping the frame rate at 60 or lower. So it's not tied to vsync itself but the framerate.

But what about day/night time sync? I know it can desync with vsync off but is it tied to vsync or frame rate like the physics?

I get massive mouse lag with vsync on so I want to turn it off without getting these two side effects.

I can actually run it alongside other mods with scripts on my pitiful little toaster, so that's exciting.
Camping is a lot more difficult, but also way more interactive and enjoyable.
Being high level no longer trivializes the entire mod, and frost resistance isn't ridiculously OP anymore.
The campfire perks look really cool, I haven't had the chance to unlock any just yet though.

As a consolation prize, you will be able to loot the Ring of the Firstborn off the friendly cultist you murdered in cold blood, and if by chance you happen to fight Alduin with the amulet in your inventory, it'll be restored.
If you joined the cultist, he will tell you about the amulet and tell you how to restore it, which entails either killing Alduin if you haven't yet, or returning to Sovngarde and visiting the spot where he died if you have killed him. If you want, you are then free to murder your new friend and take his ring like the psychopathic murder-hobo you are.

That's a weird crash, ENB shouldn't cause problems like that. Were you using some old version of the binaries?
I don't really have a suggestion for low-end ENBs, but if you're just going to use it for screenshots it really doesn't matter. You do all the posing and framing without it, turn it on, snap and turn it back off.
It depends on the quality of your toaster though, maybe there are presets that would be playable on it.

There are lots of different character types in Skyrim.
For instance, you can be a stealth archer assassin and take out unsuspecting enemies from afar.
Or you can be a cool sneakbow adventurer, sneaking up on your enemies and shooting them with your bow.
You can even be a wandering marksman thief, and creep up on your victims before eliminating them with your marksman skills.

Not really a quest mod idea, but i always wanted to make running dungeons rewarding. I always thought about a system that completely replaces the way how crafting works right now by Adding new recipes for Steel+ Armor. You would have to "farm" and hunt for certain Bosses in the game(Draugr Deathlords, Dragons, Dragonpriests) which then would drop a certain amount of crafting mats. Ehh, to be honest, in my current thief playthrough on my Khajit, I've found stealth archery to actually be a bit underwhelming. Heck, Stealth in general is not quite the EZ-modo I thought it would be, even at 100 Sneak.

Plus, I prefer simply using my upgraded daggers and one-handed abilities for that sweet sweet x15 sneak attack damage.

In the grander scheme though, I find my old Punchcat in ebony armor is easier to play, mostly because she was nigh invulnerable.

CLENB if you're okay with using a prehistoric ENB that doesn't have even half the features modern ENBs have. It doesn't even have an ingame menu because it uses ancient binaries, 0.108 iirc

On the other hand it looks pretty good for what it is and the performance impact is minimal, I used it on my laptop (which has a 1GB 7670M) and in most areas the framerate only dropped by 3-5 fps

Then again if you're already getting bad FPS you shouldnt even consider using an ENB for actual gameplay

Well, for starters, with the magic system, while maybe going back to complete spellcrafting might not be the answer, one idea might be the ability to customize your existing spells through basically a spell perk system.

From broad things like "All fire magic deals extra damage over a longer period of time" or "ice magic creates ice slicks on the floor which have chances to knock enemies down" to more specific things like "Conjured Familiar (Wolf)'s gains a howl that makes any other wolves around it allies for the spell's duration".

And naturally better dungeons. At least four paths where three of which offer shortcuts to certain builds. Like a mage could freeze some water to walk across a pit, an pagge sealed by a series of elaborate locks, or things like that. Plus explorable paths, dungeons are way too linear in skyrim.

I'd also definitely want spears and unarmed to return. Oh, and crossbows. I mean sure we got them in Skyrim, but as DLC (and with bullshit like "they were a dawnguard weapon") and they left them out of Oblivion.

Spellcrafting is great though. Being able to tailor the magnitude of the spells around your character's magical proficiency is very important. In Daggerfall, since my character is a Nightblade with no special magic inclination, I had to tune down many of the spells I wanted because the circinate versions were way too costly. I found myself in that empasse a couple of times in Skyrim too.
Your spell perk system seems just an extension of the existing one. It would be nice to have more variety in the way spells can be upgraded, that's for sure.

As for the dungeons, well it's sure that non-linear ones would be better than what we have now.
To be brutally honest, after playing Daggerfall, I wouldn't actually be opposed to some form of procedural generation. The dungeons in Daggerfall are way better than I had remembered and imagined. They are a ton of fun, as limited as they are, to explore. Sure they get old after you've visited tens of them, and they tend to look a bit similar, but that's because the limitations of the time were restrictive.

In my mind spending money on and old but robust quality product from a company doesn't encourage their awful business practices that they apply to their new products. When I kill a dragon, I don't immediatly absorb its soul, but if I go away from it and do something else for some time,then the dragon soul animation starts at random, and iIfinally get the soul. Same thing with word walls, I don't learn the words, and I can't read/ turn pages when I'm reading a book
Tried disabling all my mods, reloaded a previous save and reinstalled, but it doesn't work

There is a thought among those ignorant enough that Bethesda has been secretly working on a game engine that allows them to really do justice to weird places like Summerset Isles, and they're blowing through the generic shit in the meantime.

Problem is, the engine isn't the issue, it's the people using it. Holsters are missing from FO4, for example, because Bethesda didn't think about it at all, or didn't want to spend time on details like that. Spears are missing from Skyrim because they don't want to put in the work. Dawnguard sucks because they wanted to focus on Dragonborn since it had a landmass. KOTN was a boring expansion because they exhausted themselves doing Shivering Isles, which also had a landmass. The Clockwork City in Tribunal was lackluster because they wanted to save their energy for Bloodmoon, which, yet again, had a landmass.

There's a bill to be footed with these types of games, and Bethesda hasn't been able to pay it for a long time, so they have had to cut corners and stick with a specific formula, else their development time would be even longer, and, of course, way more costly.

I don't weep that Bethesda has been on some kind of decline, I weep that companies that have more money than god don't get into making TES-like games, because they can afford to do way better than Bethesda ever has.

So i dont quite get this cleanup thing...
I mean i installed the game, the DLC:s, the nexus mod manager, script extension, LOOT and TESSdit.

And i get the way it's supposed to work... Run LOOT and run Tessdit after each mod installed...

But the LOOT keeps saying that Updates.esm, Dawnguard.esm, HeartFires.esm and Dragonborn.esm still have ITM records, deleted references and deleted navmeshes.

Are they supposed to be there? Or...
I just dunno, ques i'm not that good following instructions, but everything just seems so weird compared to my Dragon Age "modding", which was mostly about me just slapping a bunch of files in the override file and the shit just started to work properly after a couple of attempts.

On the note of dungeons, yes, procedurally generated doesn't seem so bad when I think back to my City of Heroes days. My only concern is that then it's not really 'exploring' half the time. It's just 'you end up at a dead end'. Thought I suppose that in of itself is easily corrected, plus, with the number of reused room layouts for several dungeons in Skyrim, those may as well have been procedually generated (in an older engine)

Also on the note of dungeons, I hope we get decent diversity with them too. Honestly, Dwemer ruins are boring as shit to me and feel even more samey than Nordic ruins at times. And Nordic ruins? Ho, boy. Funny how some 'ruins' were supposed to have only been built a few decades ago but seem as old and poorly maintained as the ones thousands of years old.

*Another random idea for a spell perk: "When you defeat an opponent while invisibility is active, your invisibility then transfers to your fallen foe, preventing their body from being found by their allies for x seconds" Which, of course would call for AI to not just take notice of dead bodies but go on alert when it happens
