Am I the only one who thinks that Alphys' relation with the Alley Cat and Alley Gator wasn't really as rosy as they made it sound like? Like, I don't think they'd actively bully her or anything, but they're kind of self-centered, oblivious, and literally named Catty and Bratty, so I can kind of imagine them sort of keeping her at an arm's length as that nerdy friend and making fun of her over her anime obsession and awful Alphys X Asgore fan fiction. You can sort of Pacifist run a huge majority of Monster Hunter by capturing monsters instead of killing them at the end of a hunt. The benefit from capturing is you get more/rarer item drops at the end.
The only time you can't capture a monster is when you're fighting an elder dragon, which absolutely must be killed.
