Yes , good and secure water pens cost alot of time so I haven`t bothered building one .
Also forgot to mention : Depending on your server you could get a burd and just fly by the northwest coast and collect the necesary pearls

From watching the torpor and food values during the tame, I'm pretty sure using narcotics and stims only artificially lowers food faster by instead of stepping down the food by for example 1 food every second on the second to instead when fed narcotics .5 food lost every .5 seconds, so it looks like the dino is losing food faster but in reality the overall times are the same.

So, by using stims to try to use narcotics faster, you won't actually lose food faster overall, keeping the tame times the same as if you hadn't used the stims at all.

The frog turns dead dragonflies and ants directly into paste so its very much worth getting one and running around in the swamp looking for dragonfly clouds. You also get some leftover chitin. Not much but some. In one in game day you can farm 500~700 paste on a frog if you know what your doing

Playing on NFA pvp is kinda like living in a good neighborhood. You lock your door just in case something bad happens, but you never really expect it.

Birds are the best combat/farming mount in the game bar none. They just go over terrain obstacles, are fast as shit, and can kill anything in the game relatively quickly without taking damage. They will easily get the prime where you need it before it spoils.

The notion of a magnifying glass was tossed around as a means for identifying who raided you. The idea was that if you had any surviving structures for your base (that was damaged) you could then use the magnifying glass to identify who attacked you. Maybe devs thought this was a good idea and are working on implementing it.

What are the basic guidelines for training up your attacking dinos? I assume you focus on health and melee damage, but should I do 1:1, 1:2, etc.?

Have they said anything about how Oviraptors work? AoE aura that makes dinos shit out eggs more often I guess, but how do they collect eggs? Do they just keep them, or drop them in a container?
If no container, gonna have to start logging every hour or so, to ensure they aren't encumbered.

The reason people offline raid is because you can't online raid when anyone you attack cries in global. The big tribe then comes along, wipes your shit, and calls themselves the good guys when they kill the server.

Now raiding/pvp will be strictly for big tribes, allies of the big tribes, and tribes the big tribe is for some reason scared of. Offline raiding was a problem but this is a massively shitty solution and officials are going to die out even faster. Kill messages were already bad enough.

Now you really are better off just playing PvE. You're not going to be doing any pvp anyway.

No you dumb fucks. War between roughly equally sized tribes is good. Offline pvp is bad, but the huge, server dominating tribes want any excuse they can get to fuck someone up.

Instead of PvP on a PvP server, every server becomes PvE because anyone who dares attack anyone else in a straight conflict gets wiped out by a tribe ten times their size that's been playing since release. They then quit the server after realizing their attempt to make things interesting has just made the game impossible to play on that server.

All kill messages do is give a name for raid victims to whine about to the tribe that no one can fight. With the new war option PvP servers are literally less about fighting than PvE servers.

The wiki says the command infinitestats will give you infinite health, stamina, water, and carry capacity, but when I become encumbered, I still can't move. What gives? It works fine for Health and Stam, but I don't really give a fuck about that, I'm trying to practice building shit.

What's the global chat like for everyone on their servers? It's always one of three things on mine. Smaller tribes warring with new Chinese players and cursing at each other, other tribes sucking the dick of the larger tribe b/c girl attention whore, or someone is asking why there are pillars on top of the mountains.

The server I'm on doesn't have much warring going on. When someone dies to another tribe it's usually an accident because they flew too close to the base and got shot down, so we help them get their shit back. Everyone is for the most part helpful towards one another except for the most powerful tribe, which are a bag of dicks.

Farming metal with a quetz holding onto an ankylo is the shit. I don't know how we did it before only using pickaxes.

My tribe is just me and two friends. We live in the swamp and when we need metal we take a raft, sail to the mountain with our ankylo and two trikes, hike up and down a few times filling the raft with metal and sail back to base while the forges on board smelt the metal down.

It's quite the work but very fun adventure desu.

Dunno if we can ever tame a quetzal... server is mostly peaceful but we just don't have that much manpower in our tribe.

How high do I need to make a wall to stop carnivores being able to pass over it? Specifically, I mean a boat; I am planning on making a tower boat and using it as my base for a while until I figure out where I want a more permanent base and have the gear/tames I need to get a foothold there. I'm worried about fucking Spinos. The whole reason I'm moving is because they keep showing up at my house in droves, so the last thing I need is one swims up to me and hops on my boat.

Damn, that'll eat up a lot of the structure limit; guess I'll have to make it as compact as possible. Probably will have to use wood instead of stone because 4 high stone walls would be outrageous to farm without that club tail thing.
