Snipers in year 1 were worse because you had her benevolence with shortgaze and hidden hand has more aim assist than 1KYS? both hereafter and defiance of yasmin have higher base aim assist than 1KYS & LiTC is literally nothing compared to year 1 final round snipers which were GUARANTEED one-shots to the body on the final round, which was actually able to be manipulated and exploited by snipers.

You're making 1KYS out to be some godly aimbot weapon, when in reality there are just a lot of people using them because it is one of four high impact sniper rifles, one of which is black spindle which isn't a PVP sniper and one is exclusive to hunters.

Your argument doesn't take into account the meta shift, more people are using snipers because snipers as an archtype are more viable because shotguns and high-range hand cannons are less-so. Sure, 1KYS is easy to acquire, but acquiring the weapons you want to use for PVP hasn't ever been an issue. There's also the fact that 1KYS is only 1 of 4 high impact snipers, one being exotic, one being hunter exclusive and the other being eirene.

because a sword can be used for an entire strike as long as you keep 7-9 rounds before you switch to sleeper. exotic swords have enough ammo and the exotic sword attack is enough for anything fat. Sleeper is too slow-paced to use in strikes and the ammo capacity is really not great, which is why you switch to sleeper during a boss, because from a sword with 9 swings left, when switched will give you a full sleeper.

for speed running strikes, swords are so much faster than a sleeper & shotgun, unless you have one with battlerunner and full auto.

Any good spot to farm Taken on Venus?
I need to do Taken War: Venus and I keep screwing up at the first spot near the initial spawn because I have no idea where the Taken Lieutenant spawns so they just screw off before I find them.

Also: Why is Venus so dead? There's a lot more people on Earth and Mars than Venus. So when the zealot spawns I can usually get some backup but on Venus it's literally 1 vs 100.

I've no idea how that's possible. I've been playing about a month or so, and I just leveled my 3rd character to 40 and everything decrypts to 260+

I'm pretty sure my first character was 240 or so when I finished the ttk quest because I remember being disappointed at how low the level was on the quest rewards because I was using a260 blue hand cannon, then I worked our infusions and used answering cord for ages..

1. The only non-Taken King quest I have right now is Path of the Voidwalker because 3 7-orb nova bomb during a strike is hard. I have been playing the game, I still have my instant gratification item, sitting in my vault, resting comfortably.

How noticeable are the effects of high calibur rounds for causing flinch in PVP? They don't seem to up the damage like the impact bar seems to indicate.

Level up with the gunsmith and buy weapons for cheddar instead of marks. I've only bought one gun, and that was when I had marks to burn.

Xur comes tomorrow morning, it seems unlikely you don't have 50 or so strange coins, so you might be able to get 2 exotics and they're minimum 280 afaik, so that will boost you. Then do strikes, stay in the playlist and wait for purple candy to drop.

As a newfag, it seemed to me that just playing the game got me to 280, then every point after that was a fucker to get.

Also the quest to patrol the dreadnaught, and the quest to do the strikes like fallen saber give legendary marks for rewards, I think you can get about 50 for em.

Not quite, the only revolvers available (i.e. not expensive as fuck) that kind of resemble them with the extra metal around the barrel are Chiappa Rhinos (ugly desu) and various PPC revolvers.

My only wheelguns are a S&W Model 19 and 29. When shooting the 29 I pretend it's a hand cannon though because .44 magnum.
