I just had an R&D invasion where I killed the defender twice while zig-zaging all over and around the outer catwalks and vents, slowly inchwormed my way to the very top inside the box while he spammed sonar, killed him again and then stunned the 5 guards crouched by the door, and before I could sprint to it from 30m away, he had already respawned and shot me while invincible.

Most fun I've had with the game yet, but that instant, infinite respawn in front of the exit shit is fucking abysmal.

The sneaking in the main game is balanced to make no-reflex pretty fair and manageable. FOB is not. It's almost mandatory in FOB if you're not arbitrarily masochistic and actually want to consistently win without dealing with painfully obnoxious bullshit.

Originally the Battle Gear was on the command platform too, but they moved that to the R&D platform, sound files back this up. You warp over to the Command Platform when you enter the Battle Gear hangar. I haven't tested with Paz, and can't since she's gone, but I bet it's the same.

That being said, it'll probably just be more cashshop shit for both MGSV and MGO3. If you haven't been paying attention to MGSV, they included 68 weapons in the update, but only allow for 15 weapons to be shown and developed.

Weapons now have to be made online, take anywhere from 3-6 days to complete, have outrageous development fees, and only 4 can be made at a time. Each new patch just introduces more fucking cashshop bullshit.

Never got the chance to play MGO3, but Konami sure wants to milk and kill MGSV as much as they can.

Pro-tip: Don't steal a thing.

If you really need troops, just invade combat platforms and get to the end. My trick is to avoid everything for the first platforms (that means no destroying UAVs, cameras, or mines) until I reach the last platform. Then when I reach near the end, I might kill some UAVs 30 seconds before I hit the core. Knocking out soldiers does not notify anyone.

Abuse squares and the less-than-lethal S1000. Defenders get notified the second you fuck up anything on base (except knocked-out soldiers), so only do so if absolutely necessary. Usually you can get away with destruction for around a couple minutes before the defender shows.

And to take on defenders, just use stealth to sneak past them. The most fun I've had in this game was outsmarting defenders and reaching the core without them realizing.
