A week or two ago I, along with a couple other non-antags, took three members of Security hostage in the permabrig. I ended up breaking out of perma and going on to stun/cuff a couple members of Security, including the HoS, and I took the HoS's ID and radio, and I didn't even get a note.
One of the other guys with me in perma got banned for the incident, because he stabbed one of the hostages to death with a fork.

Don't kill people, don't get banned. Simple as that.

I give out bans every 2-3 days on average but it isn't predictable.

Warnings usually 1-3 days, with the same stipulation.

Notes daily, all day every day. An even mix of positive, negative, and neutral ones. They can be anything from x is an alt of y, or x and y are brothers and have the same IP, to "X is being a faggot" or "Y is a really good roleplayer".

Anything that is worth noting for future admins/myself to remember. I do not think that singuloose was worth noting because of the circumstances he was in. He did not join the round to set up engines and only acted when things were dire. He had no colleagues to rely on to help him (only a janitor, who was equally out of place in engineering) and tried to help everyone overcome the loss of power.

Sometimes mistakes do get warnings. Or notes. But not in this case, in this specific and unique situation.

I don't really care about races but I thought that having skeletons, with no attempt to justify or explain them and code like xylophone ribs to cement their place as a joke, really slapped people that wanted to roleplay.

One our strengths is our balance between roleplay servers and griff n giggle servers. Skellingtons were too far deep into the rp-less, lel who cares territory for me. Especially when we had plasmen who are an alternative necro race without the requirement that you completely suspend your immersion for them to co-exist.

Plus you can still become one with dissolve. Which is handy since before dissolve just killed you.

Medical can watch suit sensors and be mentally prepped for embryo surgery at the first word of trouble. Did you know that more than fifty percent of Xeno infestations are wiped out when the first Xeno tries to take out an APC? The shock (especially combined with their previous weakness to electricity) kills always. Unlike humans who have easy access to gloves (even very common gloves give 40-70% shock resistance), Xenos take the full blast of shock and have small health pools.

By removing the ability to slash wires, Xenos would be much deadlier because the queen wouldn't kill herself at the beginning and wipe out the brood.

but if you move over the same space as them you get a message about drool falling on your shoulder

aliens also get the ability to pounce and instacrit someone who gets the message
