Am I the only who feels like the H5 cutscenes look a lot worse than the H4 ones?

H4 had me, with my weak eyes, a lot of time asking myself if this was animation or real actors.
But the charakters in H5 just looked less realistic.

He didn't mention the new abilities and the AI commanding system, not even to shit on them. For that matter, there are a lot of legitimate complaints about Halo 5, but he never quite got around to addressing anything beyond having hated the franchise and the absurdity of the cortana message at the beginning. Yeah, Yahtzee is better at comedic bashing than actually reviewing. Like, even though I can't stand Halo 3 Campaign, he should have at least played the first two before bashing on it's story.

I think the positivity of his reviews are dependent purely on his mood at the time of writing.

Eh, a lot of the designs were inevitable with advancing graphics. These days it's almost required to over design shit to show off the epic hardware or whatever. Looking at the Halo 3 - Reach - Halo 4 timeline and it naturally progressed from Bungie to 343.

Cortana's solution doesn't include homogenization though. She's fallen into the exact same trap the old Forerunner civilization did- the cyclical nature of which was alluded to by the Timeless One for quite some time- of trying to impose absolute order onto the inherently chaotic situation that is galactic society. That being said, even though they possess philosophical differences I'm almost 100% sure that the gist of your point is correct, because Cortana's going to end up working with the Flood. It's kind of sad though, because 343 seems to shy away from creating Marathon/H3/Reach style terminals/datapads I feel like they're gonna miss out on delivering a lot of the depth which no doubt is working behind the scenes to players.

I was disappointed too, but you have to bear in mind that Yahtzee doesn't care enough about the franchise to get really worked up over what a miserable pile of shit Halo 5 is, especially the campaign.

Warzone really is a lot of wasted potential, aint it...

One major problem I noticed is that you rarely ever feel like you've made an impact on anything. That, and it's generally the case that the match can be decided very early on; then it's basically "Sit back and defend the core while a Scorpion or two keeps you pinned and the rest of the enemy just take potshots at bosses until they win", which can take quite a while and is pretty boring for the defenders.

And when a good chunk of the multiplayer revolves around earning weapons to use for this mode, especially special weapons like Prophet's Bane and such, it makes that chunk seem less important.

Wonder if there will ever be just a plan BTB gametype with REQ shit...

the spawn system is dumb, since you can be capturing enemy bases and only fail because the Entire Team Spawned on you. Even if you kill them many times over, if you dont kill them at the exact same time, they will be spawning in every second to halt the capture until you are over whelmed.

you either capture it from great teamwork....which Rarely rarely ever happens or because the enemy team ignored it/wasnt aware. The Announcer is clearly a problem there, especially when the base icons dont show up on screen unless you are close. it needs to announce when they begin capturing.

also legendary bosses are to valuable and bases not enough. it can take half the game to make up the points of a stole first boss kill. if they take the second you are fucked. most teams struggle to hold the middle, so there is little chance they can triple cap and rush the core before they lose to boss points.

blowing up the core is a pain because of Marines and the same spawn problem as other bases. without a fuel rod w/ invis or a coordinated team, you are lucky to get a few shots in before Marines hose you down or 5 freshly spawned players throw grenades at you.
