You literally have to walk over to the faggot you want in contruction mode, select him,, then walk to the fucking plant and assign it. It's really gay. Luckily new settlers seem to get automatically assigned to any unassigned plants. So you can just wait it out if food isn't an issue at the immediate moment.

On a side note, what the fuck does extra radiation damage on weapons do?

How do I even repair my armor? I tried to put the broken piece into the Power Armor thing and it refuses to go there.

So I've been playing it for a good 5 or so hours, and I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised. UI really isn't bugging me as much as I thought it would (hell the compass is actually quite great) and I'm surprised at how fast they threw you into the game. Wasn't expecting to fight a deathclaw this early and certainly thought they'd introduce the settlement mechanics a bit further into the game.

So yeah, it's a lot of fun, at least in terms of gameplay. Playing survivor difficulty, so when I found out that cooking was inbuilt I had a wry smile. It's Hardcore Mode in all but writing, which was a pleasant surprise. I'm guessing most of /fog/ is enjoying it so far as well?

Anyone else having issues with framerate on pc?
I have well above the minimum specs and the launcher auto sets my settings to high@1080p, yet I get 7-12fps.
I had to turn all the settings to lowest@720p just to get up to 20fps to get through the intro (painfully).
So then I checked my geforce for updates and sure enough there's a driver update that mentions fallout 4, so I install it and reset the launcher to the recommended high settings and give the game a go, it runs beautifully at 60fps... for about 10 minutes and then drops back down to pic related.
I rolled back the drivers and installed the new ones again, relaunched the game, same 60fps silky smoothness for 10-12 minutes and then boom it drops.
What the hell?
I googled around and found some redditors saying to disable the vsync and enable it manually in the gpu control panel, I did, no effect.

Anyone else experiencing crashes when walking around the red area in pic?

Seen a few people bring it up on other forums but no solutions as of yet. For me it's happening when I try to go from the north side of the river to the south, just a few metres after entering the water. It also happens when you fly over it in a later mission.

At least the numbers displayed in each settlement show all of the resources being at least twice as high as the settler count, so unless they require a greater than 2:1 ratio of resource production to settler, I can't figure out why it seems to be capping out.

Not in the least. I think it's actually quite balanced. The real challenge comes from avoiding damage. Health regeneration is quite slow, so you can't just run and gun or standout in the open.

Really I recommend it to everyone. It makes getting perks all the more rewarding.

Point lookout was fuckign awful for that holy shit, max level character with the best gear, very hard was essentially unplayable. Enemies had weapons which could near one shot since they ignored armour and they would take insane damage to kill. You had to cheese every fight and it took forever.
