Going through the sound files, it seems guard dogs were cut from GZ, not TPP. There are a lot of GZ sound files in TPP, and the call Miller gives you about a guard dog is grouped in with the other GZ sound files. It makes sense that guard dogs were cut from GZ too, since they appear in the intro and then just disappear completely. There's even a sign on one of the fences that warns about guard dogs.

They probably decided since there are barely any cameras it's not worth it. In the sound files there's a call from Miller talking about chaff grenades, but they were cut. You can still use chaff air support though.

YOU hid and waited out the counter in MGS3. Only thing that changed is you. Literally nobody had a fucking care about their ammo in that game. It was just as easy, if not easier if we're being honest to tranq the 5 guys in one area and move on and repeat, ad nauseam. And just like your other complaint; again, the same. It was almost useless to get The Ends Mosin because the Mk 22 was just as good long range, and just like TPP, you were always on the perimeter able to tranq all the guys save one around the corner. Just like most of TPP.

You're just changing your playstyle and going the lazy route because it's simply more obvious in TPP and easier with open world. You can go just as tacticool and gimped as you ever can in the game. MGS3 is really a poor choice to use to say 'wah TPP doesn't feel like a metal gear game'. I think most people actually realized that which is why when they use MGS3 to compare with TPP they usually bring up the boss battles and cool cutscenes, rather than the gameplay because it was incredibly easy to either crawl and avoid, or go nuclear tranq through the game, identically to how TPP can be played. There's just more weapons in TPP. I don't get this trend of people developing more and more OP weapons, then choosing to use them and camp and tranq everyone then come to /mgg/ and say 'shit guys why ain't I having fun this is too easy'

To be honest, MG remakes need to happen with actual complete story and a good explanation. Doing the whole Christopher Nolan "lassiez-faire" interpretation is overplayed and leaves shit way too open for speculation and renders it incomplete. What Security Upgrades are worth getting?

IR Sensors seem useless, as are gun cameras. I think the sensor theft things might be useful, if they work the way they think I do. The drones are annoying as fuck, so I definitely want more of those.

Has anyone ever actually had a problem presented by IR Sensors or Cameras, actually? I never run into them.

I finally got around to playing and beating MGSV (all 50 missions and listened to all tapes) and currently working on the last 20 or so side-ops. Aside for fun/style, is there any point in playing as anyone but Venom Snake? I had fun screwing around playing as my qt Spunky Mouse once or twice but it feels like any of the bionic arms automatically make Venom infinitely more useful.

Increased challenge, since they have no Bionic Arm items and no passive arm upgrades

If you staff have the "survived some serious shit medal" using them enough gives them a second medal, which will level up all their abilities by one rank. So A++ guys can become S rank, etc.

Of all the cut content in MGSV, I refuse to believe the Battle Gear was among them. They made the full model, gave it cutscenes, added it to the iDroid and had it in the buddy selection screen, literally pulled you back to Mother Base multiple times just to show you how its development was going and had Ocelot say he wanted "for dispatch teams to test it out first since it hasn't been field tested". Meanwhile mission 51 has been almost completely removed, and there are almost no traces of it in the game files. I'm positive the Battle Gear will be added in a future patch, similar to these new weapons and the reunion with Quiet.
