I'm sad. I want to play Fallout 4, but I can't, system can't run it properly.

No point in downloading Fallout 3 or New Vegas either. Have played them already, can almost name quests from memory. Skyrim is boring as well, and can't run an ENB to at least enjoy a good looking game. Oblivion I don't like. Morrowind sort of keeps me going.

Well I haven't played many RPGs.
I played Final Fantasy X and XII ages ago and I thought they were ok. Especially XII. Xenoblade Chronicles is also good and there is a ton of shit you can do with the game. You could probably play all three games on emulators but I'm unsure if your rig could handle it properly.

There's Monster Hunter but more of an action RPG. Even so, you spend tons of time grinding to get certain gear while fighting monsters. Which reminds me that I need to get a 3DS for Christmas as well as MH4U.

Retard coming through, I need some help with something I guess is a texture bug.

On the left image I am looking dead center to the floor, the right image is just me looking a slight bit to the right. When I look at certain angles in caves the textures flicker or go missing entirely, i also noticed that the middle burning black and fiery stuff from the forge was gone when i was in whiterun.
My mods are:

I started looking Skyrim Nexus and noticed the lack of a mod what allow you to be Thane of Whiterun without starting main quest. Even if you get Alternate Start you still can't be a Thane there. Is there a mod for it? Or everyone forgot about Lydia and the last place where No-Dragonborn-Master-Race can be Thane?

What's worse, Dragons or Vampires killing all your townspeople before you can react?

That's not a texture that's going invisible, it's a whole mesh. It's most probably not mod-related. If I had to guess it's either something wrong in Skyrim's inis or with the ENB settings. It's a rather big scope unfortunately, but I haven't seen it happening enough to know how to fix it.

i havent used it, but i cant imagine it having issues. you could end the main quest with a console command and be thane of whiterun probably, just setstage fiddling. the word wall and dragon souls might be an issue though since those get disabled. its just the first thing that came to mind

Worth mentioning, also, I have a watercolor patch for Tamriel Rebuilt that PeterBitt never posted on the Nexus, so I will be uploading that tomorrow as well.

Downsides: my mod uses Better Bodies (which can be disabled by not using the .esp) and Westly's Head Replacer (which can be disabled by deleting the "b" folder in Meshes).

Thus, my bodies and heads will clash with Tamriel Rebuilt's vanilla bodies. But if you do those two things, alongside disabling every "Better Bodies" associated mod (Armor, Clothes, etc.) you will be fine.

yeah, I had read the notice when it did that. I just personally find it easier to use to install a mod or remove a mod as I just like the one click install from the website.

I recently have been having a bunch of CTD and thought it was a mod thing, but I found out how to do the clean/repair of the master files with tes5edit and the checking with LOOT. Haven't had a CTD after doing that. So I'm pretty happy.

I have the database schema all drawn up and will be starting on the migrations (which actually do the install work) in a bit.

Just one teeny-tiny problem: nxm:// links do not support alternative servers. This means that I will have to make a PR for MO and NMM so that they know how to handle external servers. Would probably involve a new URL parameter at the end. Something like:

nxm://Skyrim/mods/9557/files/1000180308?host=my.server.tld

Ideally, it would be something like:

oxm://my.server.tld/Skyrim/mods/9557/files/1000180308

However, this would be a lot more work.

Even if you don't play Tamriel Rebuilt, I recommend it if only because:
a) It adds a nice landscape in the distance.
b) It doesn't hurt.
c) The only way it would hurt is if it was updated all the time, which it isn't.

I remember a Skyrim mod from a while ago that involved forcing enemies to be certain levels. It involved something like level 1-15 was "easy", 15-50 was average, and 50+ was hard. But I can't for the life of me remember the name.
I think it also involved forcing enemies to not have weapons and armor higher than steel unless they were the shit.

Haven't played since about this time last year, still haven't finished any of the main questlines despite having the game since release day.

Any essential mods that have come out in the past year that I should get? I seem to remember being discouraged from playing due to some annoying framedrop, my computer is kind of old (2010 with a graphics upgrade in late 2011, 560 Ti).

Also, how do you determine if you should abandon your old character? I had a whole theme for my next character and followers in my head, and I still like the idea, but I feel bad about abandoning my bard.

Not him, but even with that directory there's so many mods there for (and so many things wrong with) Oblivion that it'll take some time getting situated. Also that a good handful of those mods are now dead thanks to updates, including the best combat overhaul and certain other fixes. A little extra advice before diving in never hurts.

Also personally still looking for ways to import the guns from Fallout 3/NV/their own mods/imports, since the only alternative I found was some half-assed fireball AK-47.

I feel as if I broke morrowind.

I had a bunch od deadric wepons and normaly you have to sell to a vendor and get only like 1/5 of its value. So I discovered something neat, you sell it to them, then buy out all their shit, wait 24 hours and sell it again and rinse and repeat, I did this to the orc in the vivec fighters guild since he has 4k and after a while I got like 90k. trained my skills and went broke. eventually dude got butthurt and attacked me becuase I was about to become guildmaster, I got ALL my shit back and did it again. Had another 90k and now I am like 36 with almost 100 in all attributes. and still 40k left. Any of you guys do this, is this normal? I hope the game doest become piss easy after this.

Levetiating and summening hoards of demons and undead and watch up from high while the whole city fights is the funniest thing I have ever done in a TES game though holy shit morrowind truly is the best.

It's amazing how Morrowind doesn't get tired nearly as quickly, like I've been playing it for almost a decade now and I STILL feel like with even vanilla there are still things I haven't done and things I haven't seen, not to mention with the hundreds of mods that are still being developed to this day

I've never actually done Morrowind's main quest properly

All I've ever done in Morrowind is dick around with alchemy exploits, come to think of it. I've never even talked to Vivec except for this one time when I broke into his temple and punched him after using an alchemy exploit to give myself an impossibly high hand-to-hand skill. Maybe I should go play Morrowind the right way.

deadric wepons are not pricless since they are more of them, deadric artificts like muhrunez dagger and goldbrand are pricless, one of a kind artifacts.

Next play through though I wont do any of that shit. Gonna play as a Samurai, katana welding demon summoning guy. Summoning multiple minions at the same time and in the same spell really made morrowind my favorite tes game.
