So on my system,my hd 7870 2GB GDDR5,I'm getting 60 fps on almost all the areas.
But is go to central boston or have shitloads of building on screen and the fps Start dropping really fast,to 30 or even below.

I'm considering a refund,because i don't know if amd is ever going to drop some drivers.
Which really bothers me,that's on medium quality.


How many hours you have to play before you can't get a refund?

Because Todd took away player freedom for the sake of "story". The problem with that is the fact that the story is shit.
Plus, it actually feels like a Skyrim with guns. There are so many re-used shit from Skyrim that makes you laugh when you play it, like when I crafted a Boatfly Roast or something, there was this potion sound from Skyrim. I laughed at that.
You have zero choices in the main quest, that is my main gripe with it because the story isn't good.
Also, one city in the game with about the size of Megaton if I remember it correctly.

It depends on what you mean. You're not forced to have him with you, so no, I don't consider that as you being forced to have him as a companion. If you're so inclined you can meet him and tell him to stay at the Red Rocket and never speak to him again.

If you consider just meeting him as him being a companion, then yes. The Red Rocket is the first "base" you get, and he's always there. Bypassing it would probably be very difficult.

Don't listen to this Nancy. Improving your combat effectiveness through sheer tankiness will leave you draining tons of ammo to kill everything. You'd basically be trying to turn combat into a war of attrition. Which is a war you'd get nostril fucked in. Pick a weapon class and get those perks. Lone wanderer. Whatever offensive perk class you want (crit/VATS, sneak attacks, whatever.) just look through the perks and find some offensive ones that work well together that you wanna use. Godspeed

This game has a ton more misc stuff than FO3 ever did.

Some of the base building things seem kinda bare though. Why can I not mount Deathclaw heads? I went to the SSs old house in Sanctuary, hooked a generator to the TV, and it just says "Please stand by..." Would be cool to see cameras if the engine can handle that. Or working reruns...was a thing in the intro of FO1.

So I've spent quite a bit of time on my Settlement, and Preston asked me to go to the Starlight Drive In, and I built a recruitment beacon there. I went back to Sanctuary Hills and it was completely fucked by Radiation. I'm assuming this is so you can leave and go to Starlight Drive with all your settlers.

Is there any way to avoid this, and does the radiation ever go away? I built a bunch of defenses, water purifiers, and customized a few houses, and I'd rather not leave Sanctuary Hills.

Does Piper not start with a gun?
I really have to supply my own with ammo... This chick is high maintenance.

You need to make use of the 1 square L shaped curved walls to get it around tight corners near houses and also place floors where it hovers above the ground but its doable. This game is honestly great. I just had a really fucking intense war with a ton of super mutants at some huge satellite station. They were shooting missles down at me, throwing nades, there was a suicide mutant strapped with a nuke. Such a fun battle. This was what was left of my power armor afterwards.
