Well. For starters, the story isn't as shit as everyone has been saying. I'm only about an hour in and I just met Preston Garvey and I was honestly surprised at how much I liked him (it was pleasant when he started referring to me as General, made me feel like I'm actually the commander of the Minutemen). Other story bits like some raiders having names (one for the group in the beginning and another at Corvega factory) have really solidified my interest in the game. Also: That super beta DJ makes my basebuilding super fun because I'm just laughing at him.

Just force a reannounce until you get a good speed. Just because there's 2k seeds doesn't mean you get all 2k uploading at you, the tracker chops it up into small groups. You just happen to fall on the groups filled with BRs who set their upload to rock bottom.

Fuck that's annoying. Did you buy or pirate? Not asking to judge or anything, just curious. If you bought the game I recommend you don't leave its launcher open for long in case you do wish to refund it, as the launcher will count as game hours and can bump you past the magic 2.

And I really really hope they release a patch soon. Like, this beta patch doesn't solve every issue, especially not everyone's issue. But bugs like yours or mine are fucking bullshit, we can't even play the game.

PC support should be the quickest out of all the platforms, so I'd be surprised if there isn't something by the end of today to be honest.

You can just find the Charisma bobblehead and the special book so you'll only be wasting one level on a special stat.

Why is the Torrent so slow? I torrent a lot because based AT&T doesn't give a fuck and this is the first time of like 100+ torrents where my speed was shit. Only got 1mb/s down on a 25mbit connection, and only like 300 kbs down on another computer using qbittorrent instead of utorrent. Sometimes it even dipped to like 30kb/s.

It's better than Fallout 3. Not everything works for me. I really am not liking the dialog system. I feel like the descriptions and the lines don't match up well. I also feel like the NPCs have very little variation in their response. To the point that when I give them an aggressive or snarky comment most of the time they still respond in the way I'd expect for the heroic response. Pursuant to that, I really feel like the story pushes you into the role of HERO OF THE WASTES at every turn instead of letting you make the decisions you want. Like yeah, you can ignore Preston, but then you miss out on the XP from the Minutemen quests. I'm 8 hours in and the story/characters haven't really grabbed me yet. I like the crafting system for items, but I do have some gripes about it. Pipboy UI doesn't do a good job of telling you which suits can act as a base for layered armor. It also does a shit job of sorting armor pieces. The weapon mods can't be ripped from one weapon and then put on another. You've got to make them all from scratch. etc. Stuff like that kind of sours an otherwise good system for me.
