Leviathans are actual wyverns but their ancestors branched off the earliest, and are now the sprawled-out form, with short limbs near each other on the body and long necks and tails. Not all are aquatic, but seeing as their ancestors came from the oceans, their bodyshape is best suited to swimming through -something- so many at least live between a liquid-like area (sand, lava, etc) and solid land.

Amphibians are basically colossal frogs. Long back legs, short bodies and the barest suggestion of necks Gobul and Nibelsnarf have tiny limbs of equal size so thats why they're not Amphibians
So far only one is actually amphibious, but many toads and frogs are completely land based and never swim, so Amphibian is kind of an archaic name anyway and the localisation team could've done better.
All frogs are Amphibians, but not all Amphibians are amphibious.

I still don't get where people are taking the "AoE spamming bullshit" claims from. So far we've seen one(1) large explosion attack, from the variant Los, that not only is utterly telegraphed by a fireball leaving behind a rock and waiting a full 4 seconds to explode, it even delineates very clearly the blast zone with the ring of fire. It's not even on the level of Gog, Teo, or even Uragaan's explosions.
