I'm more worried about whether they'll bother to revamp the already existing variants. Furious Rajang, Savage Deviljho and Raging Brachydios were all pretty much identical to their regular counterparts and nothing to the level of the three we've seen in Cross, which look closer to Frontier HC versions. I hope their movesets, if not their appearences, are revamped to be in line with the Cross variants and Chaos Gore.

If anything we need MORE skills, especially good ones. One of the things frontier does right is that there's a shit load of different unique skills that give lots of choice. Currently you only need to focus on S+1, Au, C+2, and WE. Anything else is superfluous preferential skills like EP or weapon specific stuff like focus and crit draw. It really limits the variety in what you can pick when there's a very clear "best skills you can get."

pretty good I'd say. I do like the Mechanic skill a lot on SnS since you can use items without sheathing. Placing bombs during a combo, making them explode and rolling away with E+1 is pretty good for some extra damage

Just keep doing 9* and 10* quests you haven't done. There's a weird sort of g rank that relies on quest chains instead of key quests in the caravan, with g rank monsters and rewards despite being rank 10 and under "high," though you need a high enough G permit to keep progressing past certain points in each chain. You might have missed it but low rank has a similar not-high-rank postgame, which is easy to miss since once you kill shagaru the game kinda herds you into the actual high rank campaign.
