Sounds like your pet is underleveled. On my hunter mine hits for 1000+ and crits around 1500-1600, and on my other characters it does about half that amount. I assume there is a passive for hunters that increases damage, but I'm guessing the damage formula in this game takes level in to account, which is why level 1 pets are terrible.

Okay, so I just tried to awaken a level 170 Welsh Staff for kicks. Entered the Item world and it spawned enemies in waves. They started at 187 and went up to 200. (I'm 179) I lost count of how many waves there were, but after a while the boss Stone Whale showed up. He one-shotted me and then it kicked me out of the instance. -1 potential

The threaded debuff doesn't do anything besides share the damage one of them takes with the other. It doesn't work like Linker's Joint Penalty. If you do 500 to a mob and then thread it with another monster, now you'll do 250 to one mob and 250 to the other.

I do use supercell and have max atribute on quickcast damage bonus. Reroll before you hit the final grind cliff at 150-186 if you have circles wasted in highlander.

Nobody uses a two hander at endgame, and you're lowering your dps by with the waste that is highlander.

The BiS class for c3/4 sword is barbarian, so cleave and seism will more than cover your grinding needs in the low levels anyway.

Check the stats on the database.

Tutorial area mobs average ~30 crit resist already.

For level 200 dungeon bosses it goes up a lot..

All the way to ~40 average. :^)

Watch out, there's one who has the highest in the game though -- 102

You'll only crit ~60% of the time against him when you're at the 100% threshold for the rest of the game!
