If they follow the same trend as they did with the AE Gluegun and Nanogun, they'll be actual remodels with additional details and different paint; if they follow the path of the AE NS15/Baron and the AE ES launchers it'll be the same model just with different shiny parts and maybe a unique pattern.

The camos are just solid color camos; the only thing to wait to see about those is how saturated they are and if they're matte or shiny.

No, that's what it amounts to, Indar has the most bases at the bottom of a fishbowl that you can set up your HE trebuchets around, even the two main towers on Indar have hills you can set up shop on to administer skill to people. People don't play Planetside 2 because they want a first-person shooter, people play Planetside 2 because they can't shoot people in first-person.

The only good continent is the continent with active Tower/Biolab fights.

Esamir is worse. In most bases you get shelled to death from tanks camping in nearby hills. At least on Indar the terrain is flatter which allows you to deal with the vehicle farmers more easily. The only exception is Broken Arch Road because the attackers can sit way up on the hill and rain HE death from safety. Other than that, I find vehicles way more annoying on Esamir.

E.g. at 10m their silhouette takes up about 80% of the area within a 5 degree arc

The CoF of a Gauss Saw after firing 8 bullets is 0.56 degrees. The Pulsar LSW arrives at the same CoF after 14 bullets.

A man-size target at 50m will take up about 30% of a 0.56 degree CoF.
A man-size target at 50m will take up about 80% of a 0.35 degree CoF.

The Gauss Saw will deal ~1459 damage in 960ms at this distance with a maximum CoF bloom of 0.56 degrees.
The Pulsar LSW will deal ~1819 damage in 1162ms at this distance with a maximum CoF bloom of 0.56 degrees.

The Pulsar LSW fires 12 bullets in the same frame of time (996ms vs 960ms) as the Gauss Saw. The maximum CoF bloom is 0.48 degrees. The damage dealt is ~1559.

We can see that the Pulsar LSW is more effective at 50m than the Gauss Saw, with a higher DPS and lower CoF within the same approximate span of time. Thanks to the lower RPM of the Gauss Saw, the Pulsar LSW is also more forgiving of any randomly missed shots.

A 5 round burst with the Gauss Saw will give it a CoF of 0.35 degrees. A man-sized target will take up about 30% of this CoF at 100m. The Gauss Saw will be able to deal 835 damage in 600ms. Within the same span of time (581ms), the Pulsar LSW will have a CoF of 0.28, will fire 7 rounds, and deal 875 damage.

Basically, whatever given range you look at, the Pulsar LSW has a higher DPS and better accuracy than the Gauss Saw. Much more so than the straight DPS comparison of 1667 vs 1664 would leave one to believe.

Finally swapped over to a VS alt after playing for my first 6 months as NC.

Played for about an hour, and I have to say it's kind of ridiculous how easy to use the VS weapons are. There's pretty much zero recoil on anything, to the point that pretty much any gun I used felt like I could snipe with it if I burst fired, and TTK feels shorter across the board. My accuracy went up from ~25% avg to ~40%.

There's only two things I miss from NC: Headshots feel way more satisfying with the Gauss Saw, the accurate 1 shot fire from the Gauss Saw, and the way the recoil actually makes it feel like you're firing a fucking gun and not some kind of dildo spurting purple filth at people.

Don't act like it means anything. You can pretty much discount any weapon kill stats as invalid, and hard weapon stats are always not indicative of how good it is. The only reason it does better is because vanu players have always played with extremely substandard equipment - now they've something only slightly underpowered as opposed to extremely underpowered, they're doing well.

It's just butthurt NC making this ruckus. They're not used to playing on an even field. If anything, the LSW needs some more buffs. Wouldn't hurt to nerf the SAW and banshee a bit too.

nah the LA should get a marker designator that targets people, vehicles, and land areas from range with big bright reticules more obnoxious than the normal spot. They would last longer than normal spotting, provide different automatic elevation calculation zones depending on it's certification level, and show up for the whole faction regardless of leadership certs or range(as long as it is within loaded areas.) Maybe eventually something could use the designated zones themselves like artillery or orbital strikes.

If they continue adding content like the cloak sundy, ammo/rep gal, and archer - with minimal bugs - then they might actually start increasing the player base. Which is what actually started to happen after those patches.

They would be unkillable if that happened. What kills me most of the time as a LA is another LA. When you're on a roof, there are no doorways or chokepoints that you can guard. An enemy LA can attack from literally anywhere in a 360 degree radius. With motion sensors, you'd be able to tell where they're coming from and kill them as soon as they appear. You'd also know when a MAX or a group of enemies is passing by so you can drop C4 without even looking.

I started my Harasser runs using the Canister. It's fun and very deadly but you need to get close which means that you need a gunner to be effective. It kills Harassers in 9-10 shots.

At some point I bought the Enforcer and I've been using it ever since(I run solo Harasser 95% of the time). No damage dropoff and fast projectiles allow you to be very effective against vehicles and also kill infantry in 2 shots. If I want to farm infantry zergs exclusively, I just pull a Lightning with the default cannon(Viper). Canister is awesome and fun to use, but only when you're a dedicated gunner.
