Glad I'm not the only one trying this shit. At first I was running a R4NK version which included cards like Armageddon Knight and Photon Trasher for rank 4 plays in case the deck decided to brick and wont give me room enough to put BLS on board.

They're still sacky as all hell. They don't have any reliable search power outside of Cyber Network and CyDra Core, both of which are roundabout searchers prone to negation and/or SS Blockage.

Infinity is nice, but you honestly don't get to play Nova all that much to begin with, so unless you open CyDra + Drei or run odd teks like Chronomaly Golden Jet, you're not likely to be able to get Infinity Turn 2. Getting Infinity Turn 1 is even harder unless you run Photon Lead or something. In the meta as it is now, if you can't lead in with a stun and/or control card, you're going to have a bad time.

The problem is that all of the good tech choices reduce the ability of the deck to function in one or more aspects. More SS power reduces the ability for you to have shit in the hand to SS. More draw power causes you to lose cards worth drawing into. More monsters worth playing loses you the ability to reliably play them.

I've been playing CyDras since the beginning. I'll admit my deck is less than optimal mostly because I can't let Overdragon.dek go. I've played other more efficient builds, and any time I was offered the chance to go into R5, it was almost always a better option to go into a CyDra Twin instead, doubly so if I had Power Bond around.

I've done no work with Rampage and routinely forget that it exists, though, so I was assuming that the original inquirer was thinking that Infinity alone would put CyDras back on the map. Whoops.

Card Games On Motorcycles was cool as fuck. The earlier Riding Duels of the series really showcase how awesome the premise could've been. Normal summon a monster. If the psyframe player doesn't respond, you just end your turn right then and there. You still got the advantage.
Then you normal summon again, if they don't respond, you don't do anything either. You are already slowly winning the game by now.
Then the next turn you summon a monster again.

If they ever decide to actually chain with a psyframe, that's your cue for seizing the game.
The psyframe that chains on summons is shit, so don't worry if they actually activate it. And it's level 1, so it can only summon Zeta. And Zeta is trash for the deck.
The card that prevents attacks, is also level 1, and can thus also only summon Zeta.

So basically. Never ever use a monster effect.
Never ever use a spell or trap.
If your opponent ever chains a psyframe and or summons Zeta. That's when you can finally break lose and use whtever cards you want because they can't activate any effects for as long as they have a monster. And unlike Omega who can fuck off as long as you have a card in your hand, Zeta is stuck on the field for as long as you don't special summon any monsters.
So Beta and Alpha aren't an issue. If they activate either they give you the ability to play without restrictions. And if they don't you just continue playing the slow game. It's not as if they can do any more than you can even if you barely do anything each turn.

Even if they throw out the trap that banishes, it's a non-issue since they still can't do any real harm to you without summoning a monster. And if they do, they can no longer use psyframes.
Omega is the only real problem. So if you never make an action that gives them the opportunity to summon Omega, they are done for.

Obelisk and Slifer aren't even all that bad. They just screwed the pooch on Ra because it did so much in the anime but the cards only have so much space for effects, especially with summoning conditions taking up a line or two.

Like shit, not counting the Earthbound Immortals, there's only 18 Level 10 monsters you can actually Normal Summon that don't have the condition requiring you to tribute 3 monsters, and at least half of those monsters have an alternate summoning condition anyway (the only one that doesn't is Yubel). It could've been an inherent rule of the game that Level 10 monsters that can be Normal Summoned require 3 tributes, which would free up space on several cards, and if they really wanted you to be able to Normal Summon REDMD or some shit with two tributes, make those monsters Level 9

Like shit, there are only 49 Level 9 monsters in the entire game, and SEVEN Level 11 monsters. Funny enough, there are only 9 Rank 9s
