Jumped on Destiny today and looked at the Director and came to a realization. It's the same shit since year 1. They've added a total of 1 new area to the game (PoE doesn't count) and even that area is tiny as fuck. Everything is rehashed, even the taken. The "new content" on the horizon is rehashed KF, just killing the same shit in different ways.

I'm done, I've deleted Destiny and moving on to shit that actually has shit to do that isn't reused assets with a new coat of paint. Even the HM KF gear is lieterally the same gear with a different shader applied.

Bungie are lazy fucks and don't deserve my money. I might try Destiny 2 if they do a 180 and actually start doing something good with the IP, but so far they've pretty much killed all the good will I had for them

I think Bungie did what they could but again, how short was the TTK camgain? About as short as the campaign we got year 1, but with better mission design, cutcenes, an actual story, and we get Quests.

My only complaint with TTK is they didnt do enough with Quests to keep players playing. Also Factions should have had daily bounties, I digress.

Yeah I've been a day 1 player too, even played the open beta. I had such high hopes for this game and have just been constantly dissapointed. Don't get me wrong, I've played and enjoyed Destiny for a long time but there's only so much you can stand before you just say "fuck it" and move one. Crucible is still an unbalanced mess, missions in the same old locations, Dreadnaught was cool for a day until you had done everything.

I expected an epic that spanned our entire solar system. What I got was 4 small areas of 4 planets and a hive ship... still.. after almost 2 years.

Her benevolence was the commonly used weapon in trials and came with 40 aim assist. 1kys comes with 56 aim assist and can reach around 70+ aim assist with shortgaze hidden hand rifled barrel etc. This is in addition to the fact that 1kys comes to every single player with shortgaze.
Honestly bungie needs to take a look at aim assist in general. Coming from the makers of halo I would hope for a more minimalist philosophy for aim assist but that hasn't been the case.
And side arms can be incredible and easily shutdown anyone rushing with a shotgun. If YOU are rushing a shotgunned you are the one making a mistake. It's a defensive weapon and a great one but offensively its not as good

How the fuck are you supposed to raise your light level past 290? I recently started over on Xbox One after quitting almost a year ago on PS4, so I'm a little behind on everything, and I wanna do the raid to get better gear, but I can't find anybody to do the raid with, since my light level is too low, and all the engrams I decrypt are always around 260-280.

got to 298 before raiding myself but lord those last few levels were slow. lots of strike grindan until you can get all but your ghost to 295+, NF can give decent stuff as well.

Actually yes there is, and it's called mid-close range. Too far for shotguns, too close for PR.

none of them really have optimal stability. If you really want a crucible auto rifle, I'd get an unanswering chord or alternatively suros ari 45 from the gunsmith and reach for the highest stability possible, 28 holosight and any favourable perk. They will have a slightly higher TTK than the super fast firerate auto rifles, but the stability and handling is much better for crucible (in my opinion). If you want an alternative, suros regime is probably your best bet, as zhalo has pisspoor stats and monte carlo doesn't really hold up. The other alternative is the higher RoF auto rifles like the new monarchy one or the suros ARI 41 with a great stability roll. They have a faster TTK, but are harder to handle.

Recently I have reached enlightment about the Striker class and how to treat them in the crucible:

Despite the memes it's actually the strikers who are the no-fun class, not the defenders.

Strikers with their agility and their super are immensely fun to shut down other supers, and especially sunbreakers, with.

Use Helm of Inmost Light or have Death from Above active. Then, when you hear a TONK and know a sunbreaker is approaching, jump up, take aim and slam down.

It's so satisfying to bring down your angry god fist on a sunbreaker, and shove it so deep down their throat you give them a reverse prostate-exam.

Range perks make it easier, but yeah landing 4 is lucky, but even landing 2 or 3 sets you up for just one final tap to kill them. Regardless of how you do it, sidearm fire rates are extremely fast and can down pretty quickly if you use them right.

I'm not a fan of rodeo or high-cal. With auto rifles, I find to win 1v1s you need to be able to handle the gun as well as possible, which both higher rate of fire & high-cal seem to impede. Rodeo I find pretty useless too because of the really niche stability changes.

Hidden hand is a really good perk on auto rifles though, if you start at center mass and pull up, your headshots will start registering earlier with hidden hand & horizontal recoil will be less of an issue

I chose the FR too actually. Its actually not bad since it has braced frame, I used it in Rumble once and it was great.

Coming back after base game to TKK I was pretty blown away by how much the game has improved, and I still think that, but with that in mind, there's still not nearly enough content. Game has no endgame content, just how it is. I'm fine with replaying content, I did the TKK story and many a strike on all 3 of my characters, but then you do the raid a couple times and it's like well I don't want to do this 3 times a week like I did back in base game.

I'm not a game designer, I don't know exactly what it needs, but as it is, you're either in a strike, in a raid or in trials/crucru. Even WoW in the sorry state that it is in now, you could be doing world bosses or tanaan or one of the 16 bosses in the raid or mythic dungeons or pet battles.

If I'm not mistaken, rodeo reduces muzzle drift, meaning the gun will return closer to where it started after you shoot. Because the time to return to the original position takes longer than it does to fire the next shot, it is pretty much a waste compared to something like perfect balance or counterbalance which effect stability and recoil angle/amount.

High cal is preference, increasing enemy flinch is good, as it gives you the advantage in 1v1s, but the decreased handling is a hindrance. IMHO using the middle perks to buff stability and range will do you much better, as both of them need as much help as they can get on autorifles.

that's a misconception. The only thing not shown through the stability visual bar on the weapon is the angle of recoil. Rodeo doesn't make the bar do any more work or increase the effectiveness of stability.

Lyudmila is a bad gun IMO. due to the hakke stability, it won't be able to hit 2-bursts at range unless you account for recoil, which is diagonal.

If you're looking for a hopscotch pilgrim replacement, lyudmila is a huge letdown & You're better off rolling a Herja (2burst if every bullet hits the head, which is a big ask) Or hope on a good spare change .25 from crucible (which will also need counterbalance due to a diagonal recoil).

Headseeker makes it only need 3 bullets to the head instead of 4, so it isn't really that good & full auto is useless due to the RoF.

Bungie have specifically made the lyudmila so you can't get the lazer precision of the year 1 2-burst pulses, which really hurts it as it really doesn't fit into the laser-stable niche.

I think the way to go with pulses this year is high RoF with full-auto. Suros PDX45 (hawksaw equivalent) can hit really nice stability and range due to being a suros weapon with 2 stat modifier perks & full auto will give you minimum time between shots so you don't have to rape the trigger to hit max efficiency.

I feel like contesting heavy in trials is an underrated strategy. It doesn't make sense to let the enemy get momentum, even if you're up a few rounds. It also seems to throe people off a lot and keep them disorganized.

Thanks for the advice brother, this is exactly what I did and I had it finished in about an hour of Classic 6v6.

I just swapped to Red Death unless I had Super, Heavy or was about to win. There was one game where I still lost more than I gained and a few where I broke even but overall it was fairly bearable.

Felt like a shitter going Sunbreaker as I prefer the Striker play style in PvP but those hammer kill streaks were too useful to pass up.

I'm on PS4, so I can't speak for the Bone playerbase, but as for the game, the new light system keeps you constantly getting loot and feeling character progression which is great, the new subclasses are great fun and very interesting, the TKK story is fairly engaging with some infrequent but interesting cutscenes, set pieces and boss fights, and the new strikes are fun and on the nth time through I never got bored with any of them. The new raid is pretty good but not as great as Vault, and the new Zone is very interesting and mazelike, but you can't mount your FUCKING SPARROW WHY. New worldbosses can lead to some good loot. Quest system is good but can get old repeating the same quests.

Oh and almost most importantly, Cayde, the Hunter trainer, does most of the voice acting in the game and his writing/delivery is amazing and incredibly amusing. Obviously, hearing the same lines over and over can get old, but it never really loses all it's luster. You'll love Cayde after like 3 lines of dialogue.

Nolan North as the Ghost is great, 1000000x better than Dinklebot.

Nolan might technically be a better voice actor but he's also generic as fuck. His voice is something you could easily imagine hearing in any dime a dozen AAA game, and unsurprisingly you do. In the light of everything we've learned about Destiny's sorrowful development history, it's not unreasonable at all to assume that Dinklage's casting was forced upon Bungie by Activision in an attempt to bring some "Hollywood flare" into the production. BUT his performance was still not atrociously bad and for better or worse, his peculiar performance is what made Year1 Destiny stand out among the crowd.

I don't blame Dinklage for the performance, as much as people like >>121789667 claim.

His recordings are clearly haphazardly thrown together, with inflections and stresses that make no sense in context to what is happening. As a professional actor, it's really quite frustrating that your performance, when it comes to recorded media (tv, film, audio) that you are at the mercy of the editing room. After the Frankenstein job that was the reworking of the story prior to launch, it's no wonder that Dinklage's performance was subpar as he had no idea what his lines would truly be used for.

Think back on the E3 footage. The lines were well delivered and the editing in post was subtle. After launch, hell even in beta, shit was terrible. Nolan has the benefit of having the lines actually linked together, as opposed to different times and places. And even then, I don't quite care for his performance.

Just my two cents.

Is Ace of Spades a PvE focused gun? I can't see the gun performing all too well in PvP, but it seems to be nice for burning through ads.

I think Northbot shines a lot more when he's actually saying Taken King dialogue instead of year-1 stuff. Northbot's dialogue in TTK sounds like some dorky overworked white guy which is the voice NN gave to him so it energizes well. He cracks jokes and has fun compared to Dinklebot's dryness.

Meanwhile whenever he reads a Dinklebot line, it feels like a dorky white guy trying to sound like an un-emotive professional.
