What is even the point of shotguns in this game? Maps are laid out with too few close quarters, and it seems like any assault rifle or smg does the job better. More versatile, and even if a Shotty does get in my face I keep my sights at eyelevel si ez headshots. Why do you even bother?

The lack of optimization for this game is annoying. My laptop that can run BO2 at +100 frames on medium 1920x1080 can't even get a steady 60fps on 800x600 in BO3. Treyarch pls fix

it's fine though because they added splitscreen to pc and my brother loves playing zombies.

The argus is completely unique as far as cod shotguns go, so heres a bit of explanation

When fired from the hip, its a standard cod shotgun, 8 pellets fly out and hits randomly in the hipfire cone

When ads, all 8 pellets go exactly where you are aiming, pinpoint, effectively making it a slug.

As long as you are in range, and are aiming down sights, you will never get a hitmarker on the argus, it is a 100% kill rate.

i find it fun. i think too much balancing makes the game sterile, which is why i hate playing valve games because they hyper-balance everything.

it's not imbalanced to the point of absurdity. you can still do really well with any loadout you choose.

and i love how they balanced the grenade. in the last game, the standard grenade was super weak and useless. now, it's a mininuke, but the timer fuse for the grenade is straight up like 5 seconds so it takes some thought to use.

Haymaker is love, haymaker is life.
People get salty as fuck when you use it which makes it even better. Its not even THAT good. Pretty much every other automatic gun has a faster ttk. At closr range smgs are a lot better. The haymaker shines at mid range where you can still hit people from the hip but they need to ads to reliably hit you

How do you even do good in this game?

I feel on edge in this game at all times, As soon as I get a kill, I brace for the inevitable asshole behind or besides me. It's too hard to do well in this game.

Until a few months ago, I haven't played Call of duty for years until I played black ops 2 at a friends house. On my 2nd game I went something like 37 kills and less than 10 deaths somehow and in this game, I barely go positive most times. All the guns feel shitty. Everything kills you incredibly fast, people seem to spawn all around you and the game feels slow as shit even though everything kills you in like 2 hits and everyone has jetpacks, the game lingers on and it takes forever to end.

Ranking up is slow as shit and getting any decent attachments for a sort of ok gun feels line grinding.

Anyone else feel like this?

I haven't found a single weapon I really enjoy unlike in black ops 2 where I like pretty much every weapon and they all feel really good yet balanced enough that no single gun is best.

I've been using the gorgon but it feels unreliable sometimes just because it's so slow to shoot. Sometimes I'm half dead before I get 1 shot out. Might get something that shoots faster.

If you go LMG make sure to have quickdraw + Fast Hands whenever possible

I love the Gorgon personally, you just gotta get used to it. ALWAYS go into a room scoped in, you'll never scope in fast enough if you're ambushed.

Aim, move in, sweep the room, but stay mobile before and after because like you said it's mainly run n gun

I keep bouncing between guns and can't decide which one I like most, it's been the HK, man o war, XR, or weevil.

Also what perks are the best to run with a run and gun style? I know that is a broad term given what the game is like but i've been running afterburner (if playing nomad or outrider) or overclock if playing seraph / tracker / and blast suppressor. I mainly play search or TDM
