But you're telling me that in a single day, in only a few runs, you got 5 13*s while I have had zero throughout the hundreds of hours I've played since they came out? The disparity in our luck is so improbable I can't comprehend it. It doesn't make sense. It would be like reaching into a bag of M&Ms and randomly pulling out 10 red ones and nothing else in a single hand, whilst I reaching into my own come out with none.

Fair point, but just for a second look at the facts here. I'm the only one in redrum, as far as I know, who hasn't had a 13*. Granted I'm also one of the most casual and you probably won't ever see me with greater than 4-slotted units unless I strike gold and find something crazy to sell for a jump-start at funding 5s. But I still play quite a bit and have done hundreds of EQs and other things that include Gal/Gels and other things with 13* drops, and every single time I have 250% boosts and a triboost on, usually 100% until I run out and resort to 50%s.

This fellow nabbed FIVE in one day where there were only two PDs and maybe two or three Halloween EQs, which have Gel Gryphon as a possibility. Also many others who joined the game fairly recently and have played far less than even me, of all people, in that time window, have been getting several throughout these past months.

Call me the dingus that I am but I can't see how you can deny that there is something horribly off here.

If this all wasn't bad enough I had a dream this morning, during a nap after the early PD, that I actually found my first 13*. It was a Sword and for some reason it dropped from some kind of Blu Ringahda Abberation. In excitement I tried to alt-tab and post something in the thread and then suddenly the entire screen was black, as well as everything else. Then I opened my eyes and I was awake.

Maybe I'll make another account and see how that goes for me, but I'm really not in the mood to do that anytime soon. Maybe one day when I finally go over the edge and find this game worth spending too much money on.

RNG is just that, random. If everyone got exactly 1 13* for every 50 hours played, it would seem "normal" random to you, but it would absolutely be being fucked with.

There's always going to be extreme cases of good/bad luck with RNG; especially bad luck with rates as abysmal as PSO2 has. And everyone's going to have anecdotal evidence of of "this guy they know" who has a ton of good/bad luck in a game with millions of players.

Which is why I'm so fucking glad for Invade/Austere being actually decent and realistically obtainable even with shit luck.

Not really a large test pool to go by, but it seems to keep happening. I'd been playing since beta and never seen a 13* until ToT4.
Friend of mine started farming ult lilipa with me back when it came out, he gets 3 in one week after a shitton of nothing.
Teammate got his first gal boots during the kuron EQ and is now swimming in like 15 boots.
Another one got his first during beach wars, then went on to find two more slaves doing lilipa in between runs.

Probably more people in this general with similar "luck"

Just listen for goodness' sake, when I'm not leveling I do idle quite a lot between EQs, but I still do a lot of EQs. I played all yesterday and all my free hours these past two weeks, however. This other fellow got 5 of these items with "some of the lowest drop chances in the game" in a single day.

Yeah, I remember it clearly. First run was a Gel by c-2, a block or several before B-2. The Gel died & I saw 2 13*s drop. I was ecstatic at first, as I went to pick them up, the color drowned from my face as I saw it was a Bow & Rifle. I wanted a goddamn wand for 60 element goddamn it. FACCCKKKK

So we finish the first run, I check the time & see I have enough time for 2 more runs atleast. Get into the 2nd run & low and behold, a Gel appears on B-2. We got that bastard as I was spamming Supercharged Zondeel to stun him, and it got him in the first try, after that, it was stunlock & GGs within seconds. As I saw the loot, I heard the ding & saw 2 beams of light again!!! I was like, no fucking way bro. Then the color drowned from my face as I saw the first 13* was a WL. At this point, I was on the verge of praying as I rushed over to look at the other 13*, and felt like a severe weight was lifted off my chest. It was my fucking 2nd wand, yeahhh boiii!!! Me rushing to see the other 13* was probably the cause of me forgetting to pick up the WL

On the 3rd run, we were mid-way finished through the run & a regular gal appeared at C-2 again. This one died much quicker, low & behold another goddamn bow. I was already satisfied with my wand at this point, but to get another 13*, yeaaahh boii!!! I also ran Te/Hu, so not sure why Bows were favored.

If it makes you feel any better, I can't 1-hook kill Bal Rodos on my Te/Br yet, with my lesser version of Rikuteri.

Red wands, the light is an Elysion. Mostly favors T-Attk affixes because I started Te/Br, & found out till later that this shit is fucking expensive. Mag is full T-Attk, Weapon affixes favoring T-Attk more than S-attk but has a mix of both, but Unit affixes are reversed for Te/Hu, because I changed mid-way to Te/Hu, since I didn't have the cash for Rikuteri & no premium.
