As a Katana Braver, which PA is used the most for bossing? Pic related, this is my current setup. I use Hatou for bossing, while the Tsukimi and Gekka combo is an all-purpose palette I use almost exclusively. Guren is handy as a gap closer, and...Kanran is just there. I don't use it very often and I don't know why. Is it any good? I have a bow for flexibility and situational moments, I'm not sure which PAs are good here so I just use Million Storm. Finally, we have Kazan because it's basically Over End for katanas and does some nice damage. I'm BR/HU by the way. Can I get some general advice on PAs and the situations they're used in?

Theres "emergency quests" which happen on a schedule, and sometimes randomly. They take 45 mintues at the very longest, and 10 minutes at their shortest. Some are just "run in fucking circles for our holiday theme however long you feel like until the 30 minute timer is up".

They're simple enough to pub reliably and completely optional if you really don't want to. You'll just miss out on some decent gear if you're new, and if you're already in good gear then its just some EXP, a currency item used for convenience things, and that dangling carrot of extremely high rarity drops.

Its a really low pressure game.

Attempted to do it with no potions or dying, only LB's end to heal, ended up dying to black hole. Didn't expect them so quick in succession.

Still, fun as hell run, bosses in this game are so much better without anyone using Resta. Trying to go for a challenge makes it even better. And while PD's cool I think Loser remains one of my favorite bosses in all vidya.

I have no idea who you are but I'd love to know how fucking everyone has like 900 more S-Atk then me, while wielding the same weapon at the same grind level with maybe 30 more affixed attack. I haven't affixed my units yet but the most anyone could have more than me is around 90 or so in each unit. My Mag is also fucked over and gives me a whopping 90 less S-Atk. it's actually entirely possible to have an austere purely from grinding now, you can get a single austere by having 3 characters at the min on 3 ships, all of those characters do every PD when they pop up, you have enough caligula to get the invade, then also enough to use for austere conversion, then you grind SHAQ ruins for hunar stones like you have no soul for neros.
the element grinding is done by throwing other 13* weapons at it with 5% element boosters.

400 satk is a big deal. The rest of satk you lose is probably from your tree. Can you link to it? As a Hu/Fi I have around 1120 satk base while losing around 80 satk from mag. Basically it means that I have 1120 satk for weapon requirements and to check how much shiftas boost me.

I've still never gotten an Ares, some 200 Anga killed and not one.

I ran Lillipa when it came out until my hands cramped, which then kept me from playing for about two weeks while I recovered. Barely got enough stones to buy a slave, and even then.. I couldn't 60 ele it.

And yeah I realize 400 S-Atk is a huge deal, but at least I would understand why I have that much less than others. But to have around 800 less than someone wielding the same weapon (I was comparing with someone who also had Evil Yukuka last week), that's the bit that perplexes me.

As for the tree, the only thing I can really think of dropping is Never Give Up, since I'm a lot better now and don't drop into Iron Will as much, but IW stays put since it's still useful as hell.

I'll buy AC as soon as I find some expensive drop to sell or some costume of mine inflates massively, and at that point I'll do more specializing with trees, but what I have here is what I use for both Hu/Fi and Fi/Hu.

That's like 364 satk on the stat screen. Now you take into account mag -90 which is 126 after two shiftas. 490 satk.

Now if 115 satk is certainly achievable. So 90 x 3 per units and you get it to 760 satk. And 30 from weapon you are at 790.

That's a Hu/Fi with full satk mag and satk in his tree with the units mentioned. There are also class boosts that increase your base satk and I can't be bothered to count them all but a person like this can go up to 900 satk over you.

Another thing is that you should only really care about that 400 first satk from mag and affixes and lack of some minor satk from skill tree at best. Fi/Hu is supposed to lose some satk by just pumping points into crit strike and LB. Hu/Fi defensive build is also supposed to do that.

But seriously affix you're shit since ship2 people get triggered by it thanks to their past drama and because they are dumb.

I'll work on GU as well for the class boost, and it's suddenly a fun class without broken S-Roll. Techer's gonna be quite a chore. BO is capped, burnt out on BR after maining it on an alt but I can see myself getting back to it, while helping some friends level.

Someone just posted me some unit affix recipes, but how much does it cost to do that stuff? Weapons are one thing, but I keep hearing about people spending dozens, or hundreds of millions on units. I can't deal with that, my only income is COs and DOs.

No. I am saying that this is done when you compare your character with shifta drink and tech shifta to another with the same buffs. It's probably the best way for stat comparison since you are almost guaranteed to have both of them up in any quest.

And shifta doesn't stack, rather if you have 100 base satk you get 20 from drink (100 x 0.2) and 20 from the tech one (100 x 0.2).

The resulting attack number will be rounded down yes. Buffs are applied per step and rounded down each step.

Due to the nature of the game's multipliers a discrepancy of even ~20 base atk can make quite a difference depending on current effects (Drink + Shifta + Tree Buff + Attack Up PSE and so on)

Of course for general purposes 1.2x is a close enough estimate.
