Relic Iron is really easy if you go between Scablands and Buried city to glitch out the resource nodes.

compared to the other similar supers (arc blade, stormtrance, hammer of sol, etc.), not having any degree of damage resistance makes golden gun more high-risk-high-reward. I think that not being able to one-shot hammer-of-sol titans is a terrible imbalance that honestly should be fixed.

Now I understand the 'hammer of sol is broken' has been beaten to death & it's been approached from every angle, so I'm not gonna go into it further, I just wanted to say it's sucks that bungie haven't addressed it in any substantial ways.

I honestly think weapons are at a really good place at the moment & now subclass imbalances are a much bigger issue than weapon balance.

they can go around corners, you can use them from cover or get long distance shots with them

gg is a straight line and its range was nerfed recently for no reason

you also get more hammers, they have aoe and they heal you

the risk reward thing is bollocks, gg has infinitely more risk and absolutely 0 reward compared to hammers, especially because y2 aclyophage does not exist.

We know that they will blow up planets for getting in their way and I think that's all we really need to know. They will blow up fucking planets just so they don't have to fly around them. So what are the Cabal doing on Mars? They're studying the Vex gate. The Vex are the masters of time and space. The Cabal also used non-standard tactics to secure a beachhead on Oryx's ship when that showed up because they wanted something there super bad. What have we seen the Taken doing? They enter another dimension and slip right past any and all defences in the real world. Orbital defences, locked doors, broken bridges, none of these stop the Taken from getting in.

The Cabal just want better options of getting their fleets from point A to B.

I managed to get the relic iron and the void kills in one night, took about 2 hours total. I just ran around The Hollows. For the void ability kills just go to siege of the warmind, as long as you don't cross the bridge into the room with the window overlooking the arena at the end of the level then you can just jump off the edge and everything respawns. Way better than waking the hive. Axiom bolt and bloom makes it even easier, especially if you have obsidian mind/bad juju.

you can get that much if you're lucky, shards will only convert into NM gear though no matter the difficulty which is why most HM groups will just skip the first 2 chests

When you beat Oryx in Normal you get the regular drop(s) from Oryx's loot table and then if you have 20 shards you get 1 bonus drop selected at random from any of the raids loot tables (including shards, much to everyone's chagrin) in exchange for them.

On Hard mode you always get that extra bonus drop for free so the moldering shards will become redundant. Use the shards as much as you can for bonus gear in NM because they'll be useless when you only run HM.

I always thought elemental guns should do more damage to people who are using a Super of the same element, just like element-shield pairing works in PvE. It would mean element would be factor when hunting/picking guns and Specials would have a more niche role as Super counters so people would be inclined to hold on to them instead of using them like Primaries.
Obviously this couldn't work anymore since Bungie in their great wisdow decided that elemental Primaries should be a thing.
