I really don't understand this game
It seems that no matter what I try or how basic the champion I'm playing is I get shat on every time, even if I got decent awareness of my surroundings and ward enough my lane I always get some fucking shitty matchups and seem to be unable to do anything useful, feed or if I'm doing decently I suddenly have half of the enemy team diving me under the tower
if I lose my tier one tower I try to farm, but the fed guy always comes and murders me

I really have no fucking idea
just had a game where the enemy Ryze on toplane was okay to handle until he hit 6, then he could root me anytime I went for a cs and kill me even under turret. this with zero kills

it just keeps happening and I have no idea of what to do, I pick midlane and someone picks Fizz or Zed into my squishy mage
I pick botlane and at some point of the game there are five people down here

It's really really hard to see what you're doing wrong when you play because everything happens so fast. There's no point in watching pro players/read guides of pros because guess what, you're not a pro. The game is very sporadic and unfortunately being able to respond to shit is a lot harder to do when you're facing against teams with more experience.

For example I constantly see people messing up is not knowing how to be aggressive or passive or bait. If they start losing when they normally play aggressive they start playing too passively and they lose harder even more. Your best bet is to grind game until you get a good feel of what you need to do and how to come out ahead. This is the only advice I have as I'm just getting out of a horrendous lose streak.

just play whoever you find enjoyable. you can carry with anything (literally anything bar yi support) as long as you have fun playing it. in solo queue, team comp is irrelevant, as people constantly misposition and get caught out. the most important gameplay aspects are mechanics and map knowledge. as long as both of those are solid, you can play anything to win. there a lot of 1 trick pony's in higher elo who play "unviable" champs, such as heisendong (heimerdinger player in master).

the most important thing is that you play a champion you enjoy, because to really climb you'll have to play a shitload of them. so try out a bunch of different champs in every role. personally I enjoy playing Hecarim jungle (and top) a lot. he is not considered an especially 'meta' pick (especially in jungle), but because I have played hundreds of games on him, and my mechanics and game sense are slightly above average, I have been able to climb to the meager rank of diamond 5 playing mostly a single champion
