TBC was the start for me.. but
WOTLK made me miss TBC ( played only 3 days after the whole alpha - beta and release then quited until mid cataclysm )
CATACLYSM made me hate wow and miss TBC - quitted after 20 days of game.
MOP - started 5 months after mop release and I haven't regreted a single second I spent in that game.. I have played wow all the way until the release of WOD and enjoyed the shit out of it... I haven't even missed TBC done absolutely everything in MOP...
And then WoD released ... on which I genuinely played non-stop first 2 weeks and leveling experience was amazing.. but then I hit level 100 and quitted very fast... only to come back 2 - 5 days / month every month to just explore.. do random shit.. try some arenas and leave again.

Because it was an ability that was meant to be niche. You'd drop it next to casters who were usually away from melee AoE so that they can heal themselves.
