Heard about this last week, figured I'd join. I'm not new to MMOs, just WoW. I played for several months back when WotLK was the newest one but that's all.

My schedule limits me so that I can't play evenings or weekends, but I have plenty of weekday daytime hours to commit. I'm interested in PvE, but not really PvP.

Willing to learn/play any class, role, or profession, I just actually want to play with real people since many other old games are dead and I can't run the newer stuff.

All that said, I heard they recently opened a PvE server so it seemed like good timing, but do you guys have any guilds on that server yet?

Gooing PvE only in vanilla is just boring. As simple as that. Eh, it's not that I get mad about ganking or anything, it's just that PvP is not an important facet of the gameplay I want. I guess it might be a pacing issue, where PvE feels a bit slower and less hectic, allowing me to easier focus on what I want to do, and strategically tackle any tasks I choose.

I get what you're saying about not playing it how the game was intended to be played, and that'd be true if they made all servers inherently PvP as part of the WoW experience period, but I remember there being plenty of PvE and even RP servers, so there's clearly multiple experiences they wanted to cater to.

That said, I still don't see what's wrong with doing it that way IF that means I do it on the server based around it, rather than trying to fit in on a server where people prefer it differently. People like different things, and there's places provided here for people to enjoy those different things differently without intersecting.

That is mostly an accurate list, however RBGs have always had botters and more recently it's an absolute cesspool of cheating. Literally all of the top ranked teams, both US and EU, have known botters. A stream of a match even caught someone flyhacking.

Orc Shaman seems nice, stun resist and apparently resto shamans are in demand for raids

UD Priest for the devouring plague and I enjoy shadow.. Hard to choose between shadow and windfury as far as levelling/pvp is concerned. I know getting a raid spot is probably about as east for hprist as a resto shaman.

Still very active. I was just able to find a group for RFC almost immediately - which shows at least there are lots of people still low level, or leveling an alt, or whatever.

Most areas are pretty busy but it gets less stupid around 30-40ish.

I believe ZG is soon to be out so you haven't missed a lot and still plenty of time to level and gear up (and that's the fun parts anyhow, really).

Only advice I would have is to avoid the nosg guilds, but in case you do, try to go alliance as 90% of this general is alliance for whatever weirdo reason. Either way, do what you want, make friends and have fun!
