I like the mission-based structure, it focuses on the gameplay.

I would like larger hunting environments and more stuff like GQs and Expeditions where you can split up and regroup ad hoc as random monsters show up.

I would also like to see an MH with all of the monsters. All of them. Because I started with MH4U and haven't experienced many of the older monsters. And it'd be great not knowing what to expect when you go out there.

Why would anyone ever want to use anyhing but bushido style in MHX? What are the downsides? It basically makes you untouchable and seeing as some players could use it effectively on the demo, it doesn't seem to require too much practice

You can block pretty much all explosions but the supernova, even with SnS. The chip damage isn't even that bad either. Shields definitely make Brachy and Teo fights comfier.

I think he was referring to the thing where (126+ GQ?) Teo creates a swirling mass of powder somewhere on the field remote from it and then triggers the same kind of explosion as when it goes nova, though, not the flamethrower or the lesser explosions. I don't know if that one can be blocked, I've never tried nor seen anyone else try.

I started in 4u and didn't figure out how armour skills worked until halfway through caravan low rank simply because menus were somewhat obtuse and I'd just been introduced to decorations and talismans, and thus assumed skills from armour came from decorations and added to skills from talismans, and I had also assumed that they were linear instead of reliant on thresholds. I first realised right around the time you first fight lagombi I know because it was the most current full suit that I liked the look of and I wanted to start benefiting from skills.

But no, if someone doesn't even know how to make new armour they must only play online or something. But that's weird because the game kind of pushes you to do the caravan and ignore multiplayer for a while. That or they skip all dialogue and are also literally retarded.

It's what you make of it. 140s are sometimes frustratingly hard, but like anything, can be whittled down into a science. The relic grind, I find, is super boring, and I really only do GQs when people post the quests in rooms. They can be a good challenge, I suppose. Better maps, too.

The rest of G is all about making new weapons and making new sets and just gettin' good. If you're getting burnt out, don't feel like you can't take a break. Sometimes you need to take a break from MH. Let your skills settle. Then when you come back, it (should) be fun again.
