I think the Dominion suffers from Horde/Alliance syndrome. The normies seem to not want to be the "bad guys", and honestly, most of the Carbine media/trailers/art/etc. seem to favor the Exiles. It is because this game is trying to be a pulpy 90's action cartoon show. Everything about the aesthetics are exaggerated, these fucking trees are the most tree looking trees you'll ever see, goddamn these rocks aren't just 'rocks' they're ROCKS. We have female aliens? Well lets make sure you can tell that they're female by giving them tits that you can see all the way from farside. I mean if you eliminate the body sliders male humans look like pro wrestlers and female humans look like jessica rabbit. It's all in the art style. Some might consider this kind of aesthetic problematic, but it's staying pretty true to it's cartoon / comicbook inspirations.

Tanks are still the most needed, but there's more of them than there was. I think people are wising up to that tanks are needed in MMOs. I've had a lot of waits as a tank for a healer, recently, or funnily enough, for a DPS - Though that's only when leveling. At endgame tanks are almost always instant.

In Datascape the only tank that is innately bad is Stalkers. The Warrior tank in my group takes the same amount of damage as me and the Stalker takes around 50% more damage than both of us.

The three tanks are so interchangeable now that once Stalker gets retuned you can play any of them. But for now Stalker is some of the worst garbage because of armor changes, a higher focus on long cool down mitigation abilities and the changes to tank healing that they are on such a lower level than the tanks it's almost laughable.

Tradeskills in general are kinda meh because crafting RNG never gives you the stat slots you want and runecrafting is way more important.

Yeah, I agree. They're pretty good for gearing up new characters, and the extra runes/stuff is nice sometimes. And while I hate doing world bosses, it's a great way of keeping people interested in them. Everyone needs about 10% Strikethrough for vet dungeons. Don't go higher, it just turns into armor pierce. You can take less since you're tanking.

After that, yes. Deflect deflect deflect. Because A) it's a good stat and B) You have AMPs and abilities that give % boosts to deflect, which only get better the more deflect you have.

After that, sure, get crit mit. Stay away from glance and reflect, they're useless for you.

Crafting only changes the stats a gear piece comes with. You need to reroll sockets manually at a runecrafting station -- either randomly with gold or getting specific ones with service tokens, which are pretty cheap for their omnibit cost. It's gonna run you a high price tage either way.

Set runes give power to a set. Each item has its own set, which stacks with sets on other items. You shouldn't worry about them till you start raiding, because sets are % based and basic runes give flat bonuses, which help you more when you have dungeoning-level stats.
