Any tips to consistently hit the Scrake's head with the zwei M2?
I have no problems with FP heads but the only way I ever manage to land a knockdown on a Scrake is if I stay right in its face.

If there's room and space I first emp him, unload full mag of AR, then just poke his head twice to kill him.

I think poking his head is the easiest way for headshoting him. Just jump in and out avoiding his attacks, trying to keep him in place, he's running attacks are worse to deal with.

But most often I just use overhead attacks, because there is a medic healing me and some other teammates are probably unloading their guns also. He goes down pretty fast, even without headshots. I think dodging is more important then headshoting when dealing with a Scrake.

Putting events aside is a prudent decision.
With all due respect to those who long for the good old days, I'd be rather irritated if TW told me that the new perks were going to come later because they were too busy working on clot skins that would last for one week.
I am firmly and immovably opposed to anything that unnecessarily delays the updates, and that includes, frankly, worthless temporary zed skins.

However, it would hardly matter now.
Flex certainly did waste a large amount of time (It sure looks good I'll give you that), but anyone who knew TW and was honest with themselves knew that there would be no update this month.

The I&D update satisfied the forums, but that was in August.
Soon it will be November. After Halloween, expect the cries for an update to return.

As for the bug fixes, I don't care what any man or woman says, it is UNACCEPTABLE that simple bug fixes and corrections must wait three months for the actual content before it can be released.

It takes three months to fix the Demo's knife icon? It takes three months to fix pathing on an existing map? What utter nonsense.

In one month we will be relieved, but until then, we'll just have to wait.

I'll bet you dollars to donuts that MSAA hasn't been implemented yet because it would cause massive performance drops due to the real-time reflections. Tripwire didn't want people screaming OMG UNOPTIMIZED TRASH so they just left FXAA in which is obviously much less demanding.

There's even an option in one of the ini files about reflections using anti-aliasing, so I'm assuming that might become a graphical option later down the line.

Maybe that just means that they substituted tac-reload for grenades.
I think it makes sense given that it would be way too useful on that perk in particular.
Still kinda wish the ditched the deagle brand deagle for a .44 revolver.
Or the the engraved 1911 for a SAA.

Can anyone help me with this issue? Killing Floor 2 thinks I have a controller plugged in, when I don't, and also thinks that I'm holding up-left on the right stick, which I'm not. Not only do I have to hold a mouse button to see my cursor, but when I get in game I can't do anything.

I don't really get the whole hype with Sharpshooter.
I mean sure its pretty cool to have that sniping power but its one of those perks which I found to be stale after a while, like a luxury especially with how safe you could be from danger, being able to stun and pick off a Scrakes on the other side of the map just as they come into your teams view. Also now that pistols are in their own speciality, there's even less attraction to the SS right now sadly.

You can do perfectly fine without DLC for KF1, but a few of them do add weapons that change a way of playing a perk or make them much more useful, the best example of this being the Flare Guns for Firebug. Without them, Firebug is just a trash killing perk, arguably weaker than the Commando. With Flares, you can mix them with a trash-killing gun like the Flamethrower (or at least I think you could carry both at the same time), and you can use Flares to decapitate Sirens and Husks with total ease, and Scrakes too if your aim is good enough.

But overall, I'd say don't bother with DLC for a game that's already lost support from the dev.

Choosing builds was a neat idea but it doesn't work quite right in effect. I don't really think its possible for everything to be useful so they might as well up the level cap to 50 or something and/or change how point allocation works.

No, no. Each class needs variety within itself. When playing a class your only relevant weapons are your perk weapons. The exception being maybe running a melee weapon to deal with big zeds if everyone dies.

With the one weapon per tier, per class we have forty weapons in total. Now while that SOUNDS like a lot on paper, when you only have one weapon to use late game EVERY GAME that shit gets old fast. Not to mention you aren't really even using that Tier 4 you saved up for in the late game because most classes need to save their Tier 4 for big zeds. So you're really using one Tier 1 or 2 until a big zed shows, swapping to your Tier 4 to kill it, then swapping back. The only classes who get to use their Tier 3 until a big zed shows are Mandos because even though you COULD carry a Tier 4 AR and the Medic Shotgun as a Field Medic, no one uses the Medi-Shotgun seriously. It's shit. The Support could arguably carry a Tier 3 and Tier 4 with the weight training perk but again, I seriously don't think anyone chooses that over flat damage. This is true of Demo who needs to save Rockets, Support who has no ammo in his AA-12, and Firebugs who don't want to be out of Microwave battery when the Scrake is in their face. You could argue the issue is still prevalent for a Mando but honestly all the Mando weapons are just ratatatata anyway so there's not much lost on unloading the AK until a FP shows and needs SCAR rounds injected into his head.

The solution is either:
A.) More weapons per class. Maybe three per tier since five does sound a little excessive when seeing the 200 weapons number.
Or
B.) Make some of the weapons work cross-class. Let the SWAT class use Shotguns to a lesser degree than the Support but still effectively enough if his SMG is empty. Let the Mando choose between Shotguns and SMGs through a skill as a "minor" to his Assault Rifle "major". Let the Gunslinger spec into Sharpshooter weapons because Lever-Action Rifle.

depends on who you are and how much you play the game. if you play for like 10 hours a day trying to grind perks to grind achievements, you'll get burnt out quick, with the slow updates. but if you play a few games a day, taking it nice and easy, probably never. I disagree. If a Medic not healing in a team causes problems, it is because the team probably expects heals when they see a Medic on the scoreboard, and everyone plays a little more carelessly until they realize the Medic is being stupid and everyone is half-dead already.

Support has become pretty irrelevant, so even if there is one on the team that keeps dying, it hardly matters. In fact, his usefulness probably comes more from being a meat shield for everyone else. I know because I had a HoE game a couple of hours ago where this happened. If his lack of skill wasn't a problem, it was because he had little to contribute in that game in the first place.

The US uses 5.56 NATO because it's lightweight, and you can give a soldier more ammo than you could with .30/7.62. The truth is simply this: Most soldiers don't shoot outside of 300 yards, and wont shoot accurately outside of 150 yards. When they do fire, it's inaccurately, and it's better to just give each soldier more ammo than it is to expect them to be expert marksman.

Even when the US did train it's soldiers to be "individual marksman" they still fired and ungodly high number of shots per kill, and even when equipped with rifles capable of killing at 1000 yards, they rarely fired them at targets outside of 300 yards.

There's no real reason for the smaller caliber rounds other than accepting the fact that it's better to give each soldier more ammo than to expect them to be better shots/better soldiers.

It's actually funny how badly Firebug and Commando synergize together. Firebugs need to get close to trash but end up blocking Commando line of sight as a result. Stuff on fire is also much harder to headshot and the explosions cause screen shake. Firebug does heavy body damage but little to no head damage since it's much easier to hit feet and splash. Commando does heavy head damage but it only amounts to a small percentage of body life in a 6P game. Because of this, a Firebug and a Commando shooting their T4s together at a FP don't actually help each other at all, it's almost like they're working on separate life bars. 2 Commandos headshotting or 2 Firebugs zapping would be much more efficient in comparison.

HOW TO FIX SUPPORT: THE POST: THE EXPERIENCE
I've seen a lot of mourning over support's fall from glory in these threads, and I have to say Anons, I feel your pain. I really enjoyed playing Support in KF1 and I really enjoyed playing it in KF2... before the I&D Free Content Pack, that is. It makes me sad, too, because shotguns are my favorite weapon type in FPS games second to SMG's, which we'll have to wait for in KF2 (SWAT).

So, here are my ideas:
1. Passives
>Buff the weapon damage bonus from +1% per level to +1.6% per level (this grants +40% at lvl. 25)
>Make carry weight a passive bonus, gaining +1 max carry weight per every 5 levels
>Make ammo capacity a passive bonus, gaining +4 shell capacity for all shotguns per every 5 levels

2. Skills
>Ammo: Make it work like the Firebug's "fully stocked" skill
>Supplier: Keep the actual skill as-is, but make it more obvious when a support is using it. An icon above the player's head or a backpack that glows like the pickups on the ground might help.
>Fortitude and Regen: I'd argue that these could be left where they are, though Fortitude always seems the better choice.
>Bombard and Tac. Reload: Probably could be left as-is as well. Maybe make the reload for the AA-12 slightly faster than it currently is with Tac. Reload equipped.
>Tenacity: Make the damage bonus 15 or possibly 20%, rather than the current 10% Additionally, make the skill grant an additional 100% penetrative power to shotgun rounds.
>Strength: Keep as-is with the added bonus of not being slowed down when at maximum carrying capacity. When added to the passive bonus, the Support's max carry weight can now be 25 at level 25.
>Safeguard: Make the armor bonus 25%, rather than the current 5%. Let it stack with other Supports.
>Barrage: Make the damage bonus 25%, rather than the current 15%. Also let this stack with other Supports.

If you took two identical bullets, and fired them from two guns that were identical in every respect but the length of the barrel, the bullet fired from the gun with the longer barrel will travel at a higher speed and impact the target with greater force. Basic physics.

Imagine some noodly armed nerd threw a rock as hard as he could at you. Now imagine that same rock thrown from the same distance as thrown by a major league baseball pitcher.

Now then, high grain ammunition and hollow points.

High grain simply means that the bullet weighs more. What this means for the bullet varies wildly depending on the caliber, ammunition type, and firing platform.

Hollow points refer to bullets that have a hollowed out tip. This causes the bullet to expand upon impact, and fragment in some cases. This results in greatly decreased penetration, but a much larger wound cavity. This can potentially result in an entrance wound the size of a dime with an exit would the size of your fist.

Here's a video that shows the effect of an expanding round on ballistic gel, a type of gel with a consistency similar to muscle tissue.

What you would have then is a 9mm carbine.

That and other pistol caliber carbines are meant to allow for pistol calibers to have improved performances at ranges that would not be practical had the bullet been fired out of a pistol. This can work out to an increase in effective range of anywhere from 50 to 100 meters, depending on caliber, barrel length, etc.

If the barrel on a 9mm carbine was the same length as the barrel on an AR-15, it would have similar performance IF that AR was also chambered in 9mm. If the AR was in .223/5.56x45mm, then it would be a completely different weapon.

The 9mm Carbine works as a starting weapon for the Commando, and I'm glad Twipwire is thinking clearly for once. Back in KF1 a Demolition is the only guy who doesn't have any problems with multiple Fleshpounds. I don't think Demolition was a struggle to maintain back in KF1 either, just skip pipebombs and grab M32 you're done for most part.
In KF2 it's not expensive either but it's really hard to say it's EVER effective in combat. Because whole perk's power unlocked at lvl25 with radiation.

Commando can't kill a Fleshpound for shit on his own unless he gets lucky and nothing ambushes him while he's busy shooting its head repeatedly. The only way you can kill one on your own is to headshot him until he rages, then bash him just as he gets an attack down to prevent any further attacks and to get rid of the rage, heal up, wait for the stumble cooldown, then repeat. If at any point you get blocked or grabbed by zeds, chances are the FP will catch up and destroy your ass.

Pistols are good the first 2 rounds, being able to pop heads left and right, but starting wave 3 you want something with a bit more punch to get over a certain threshold.

I generally empty my 9 wave 1 buy a second and sell my AR I usually have enough for a scar after wave 3 playing on sui. After that I switch to large mags and never look back. When I'm playing support or demo I would love to have more effective backup weapons just so i can conserve my ammo more. how to use it:
type "!spin" in chat to spin the slot machine. you should see it appear at the top of the screen. if each slot lands on the same reward, you'll recieve it. spinning the slots costs 100 dosh, so it can't be abused too often.

current rewards that need to be tested:
>Ammo Regen - unlimited ammo in your magazine for 30 seconds
>Guard - immune to all damage for 30 seconds
>Haste - speed x3 for 30 seconds

As i've mentioned before, put back the 2% extra damage per level instead of 1%.
What good is a class that's meant to be a frontliner/close range attacker when they have a passable amount of ammo but the damage game is weak to justify that ammo count? If it were 2% then it would be more than reasonable. Your average zerk basically does what they can but better, and the only thing support could do over them is being a moving ammo box.
The extra beefiness (health) you can get with support is nice since you're more susceptible to damage, but at that point you're just a worse off meatshield to said zerk.

I like the OST for this game but its getting kinda annoying after playing a while and I want to listen to something different

I hate it more on the practical side. I hate that she will sometimes recommend buying armor, sometimes as early as the first trader time of the whole game. I think it is the whole reason I always see newbies spending a whole 300 dosh on armor for fucking wave 2, which they always lose at least 75% of so they pay for it again every wave and never buy the actually important shit in due time.

Tactical Reload is generally superior. Bombard can have its uses but if your medic is good they will be stumbling the SC and FP when the time is right anyway. If you do take Bombard, make sure you stumble with the DBS since that has high stumble power.

Both are pretty valid choices depending on your playstyle. Bombard need some adjustments and is more situational, while tac reload is solid in every situation.

M4 Combat Shotgun
Support's Tier 3 that costs 1100

It's complete and utter shit. TWI buffed the stumble power but it has the same stumble as the DBS. So if you take Bombard, they end up with the same stumbling power.

The problem with taking Bombard is that you give up Tactical Reload, which the M4 benefits the most out of the Support's weaponry.

I sure hope it gets buffed with something unique next patch because I can not find a good use for it right now, I'd say it's as bad as the M79 (Demo's Grenade launcher)
