Every "-" or "+" can be seen as +/- 15% or 25% resistance to a damage type. Eximus resistances are weird and vary per enemy type and even Eximus type. I thought I had that all down, got the resistances and everything right, because I was getting exact numbers with any weapon/damage type against any enemy (sans eximus and some other specials) some months ago... this is all because I want to baseline how some of the damage is working in relation to self-damage and glaive (finding a magic number without just trial and error), no matter that there are practical setups already working just fine, but I need a solid basis against which to test

for a simplified example without armor or shields, let's say I have a weapon with 6364 total damage on it (1075 Impact, 4751.5 Puncture, 537.5 Slash), I would expect that to deal about 6229 to 6230 damage to a Corpus unit with Flesh HP (806.25 + 4751.5 + 671.875), but instead I see a steady repeatable 6208 come out every time I hit the target without shields

can someone point out what am I doing wrong and/or what has changed? I know this is utterly pedantic and not worth worrying about, especially since we have plenty of tools that give us good enough information, but autism

Yeah it was a good nostalgia trip for me. Warframe is built on an engine split from an early version of the Unreal engine (pariah if I'm not mistaken), so many of the idiosyncrasies that I encountered when trying to extract the audio from Republic commandos were still present.

Compression seems to be the biggest barrier for the data, since when I would extract it from a raw data rip I would get sped-up versions of the stuff I was trying to pull out.

Somewhere on an old 30gig hard disk in my house is a collection of it. dying droid noises, scorch death screams, random dialog.

You can get a new frame as soon as you get to a boss that drops frame parts, so pretty much instantly. Mesa is completely out of your reach, get some other frames first.
Besides, you have absolutely no way to make Mesa actually useful, you don't have the right mods for that or the ability to even get these mods or the ability to rank these mods up to a decent level.

If you were on PC I'd tell you to wait for a 50 or 75% discount but I don't think you get those on console. It's up to you but spending money on this game is not advisable in my opinion since you can get everything in the game for free except cosmetics and inventory slots and since you can trade for plat even those are not out of reach for completely free players, I mean I'm sitting on 5k jewed plat after buying pretty much every cosmetic and that's nothing compared to some of the autists in this general.

Still, if you buy Mesa she's gonna be pretty much completely useless. You need several rank 10 rare mods on her that you have to get first, so you either have to grind for them or buy them in trade chat. Unranked they are about 20-40p but you can't rank them up. Fully ranked they cost between 300 and 450p and you need several of those. There is no way you'll make her useful.
Just get a Rhino, Loki and Saryn instead. Those are easy to get for completely free and at least Rhino works decently without any corrupted mods.
