So then...how are you guys planning to deal with another year of content drought?
Valor coming back
The moose isn't a store mount; you get it from killing Heroic Archomondo
And this bad boy
Something left to be excited about in WoD?
Moose isn't a store mount anymore*
I wonder if the subs were so bad they felt they wanted to add it now as a limited time mount.
I take it back. I had no idea. I thought you were pulling it out of your ass. I apologize.
I'm really suprised about the moose, but happy that I can easily get it by earning it in game.
Thus, we’re also expanding the power of Warforged items in Mythic dungeons—rather than a static +20 item level bonus when a Mythic dungeon item is Warforged, there will be a chance for even greater increases in power. The very luckiest players might even obtain item level 725 versions of the dungeon drops, with increasingly better odds of 720, 715, and so forth, fully spanning the range from 685 to 725 in five item-level increments.
>725 gear from mythic dungeons
HEROIC RAIDERS BTFO.
>Timewalking Cata Dungeons
>To remind people as to what happened at the Well
>prepping for Legion
bravo blizzard most people probably either don't know or forgot already
good on you tbh
I've told you
Blizzard is starting to be afraid, they KNOW they are bleeding subs left and right and they will try to get people back one way or another
Don't get me wrong, this patch isn't content at all but it shows that Blizzard KNOWS they fucked up bad
mage is the worst class for soloing old content
>create competition in the market through other decent games
>fans actually voting with their wallets this time and the subs plummeting
And this is what happens. Blizzard is forced to care and start delivering. This is why fans have to realize they have the power, because their money supports the entire industry.
HOLY SHIT THIS PATCH
>defeating Archimonde on Heroic difficulty
wowg flexes when?
Also they turned a fucking store mount into an ingame mount
this won't clear all the salt I have because of Grinning Reaver and Fey Dragon, but damn it gets close
I can't wait to see people running around with 725 trinkets that are weaker than HFC Normal ones, though the chance of dropping a 725 item with best stats is going to make me run this shit every fucking week
>Blizzard finally gave a reason to kill Heroic Archi, just like Heroic Garrosh in MoP
>Mfw LFR shitters are already getting buttblasted by this
what salt is there to be? according to the post its just a rare drop mount from bosses in cata timewalking dungeons - nothing we havent really seen before
only thing thats different is that ofc timewalking isnt up all the time - no doubt people will whine about that like they do with the halloween / brewfest mounts
>not even MMO-Champion is complaining, actually praising the move
>fucking official forums retards are butthurt that they can't get the mount without any effort
I fucking hate the official forums holy shit
>Friend has been going on and on and on about how she's gonna buy the moose
>It's now from heroic archimonde
>She's one of the "Silver proving grounds is too hard"-shitters, no way is she gonna get the mount
This pleases me.
>Fuck you I want everything ingame for free! I pay a subscription dammit! /s
its actually the way it should be, you have to work for the rewards
>tfw im on a dead server and wont be able to get new mounts
do you think shitters who cant pass silver pg can afford 50k?
raids are cross realm
Also does anyone have any good resources on being full autismo for timewalking? I need to get my monk jacked up for TW
What >>119013902 said.
Yes, they're incredible for soloing.
If you just wanna solo old content (cata and down) you can use any class, but if you wanna do MoP 25H content, DK or Monk is the way to go.
Not everyone raids and not everyone who raids gives a fuck about normal with bigger numbers
She can buy tokens and then buy the kill, but I doubt she has enough brainpower to figure this out
don't let your dreams be dreams
as long as you aren't stunned, you can Expel Harm -> Guard everything with 4p
that timewalking mount looks sweet, but every cunt and hes dawg will have it next patch, and will become a meme mount
>mfw I'll actually be able to kill Mythic Archi by the end of this expansion
725 Mythic Dungeon items is actually kind of insane.
There's a few dungeon Trinkets that at 700 were actually very good, at 725 they might become BiS. Also the idea of having a 725 Blackblade of Sharam is funny, even if the Proc is useless.
>new timewalking dungeons
>still no Halls of Origination
JUST CUCK MY LIFE UP
I thought some of the proc/On use Tank trinkets gave BA but then I looked it up and realized they are all Stam so nope woops I was wrong they are shit.
Still, 725 weapons and off tier, and that's pretty nuts.
of course the maelstrom is the center of the well
>this patch might actualy make me sub before Legion drops
wow, did not expect that
I don't even know what I should play now
>I love how Blizzard made the game cater to filthy casuals this expansion then expansion fell flat on its face so blizzard is trying to fix it in a mad rush to keep subscriptions. just release legion already. this is getting boring just waiting for the next expansion
>only raids lfr
this is amazing
>Not a lot of us have the time to spend learning and grinding a heroic raid to just get a cool mount
>having them available from the store will benefit more than just the raiding community.
Nah trinkets like
Will definitely see use at 725 ilvl
Ilvl 725 weapons will also be crazy.
May as well make all crafted shit useless since it's only 715
>Warmongering Aspirant gear at PvP item level 715, Warmongering Combatant gear at 730, and Warmongering Gladiator gear at 740
HAHAHAHAHA, I can't stop fucking laughing. PvP conq gear higher than mythic ilvl.
>Cataclysm dungeons are getting Timewalking: Grim Batol, Stonecore, Lost City of Tol’vir, The Vortex Pinnacle, Throne of Tides, and End Time
>no Well of Eternity, but End Time instead
Which fucking retard made that decision?
>Defeating Archimonde on Heroic difficulty or higher will reward the Grove Warden mount (for a limited time)!
LFR shitters BTFO
Overall hilarious attempt at Q4 numbers: the patch. Complete with more content than 6.1, for a minor patch.
Blizzard is shitting their pants at even the prospect of showing the Q4 numbers, people are leaving left and right
This patch will definitely not stop the subs bleeding but it will slow it down a bit, that's for sure
>gametime tokens about to hit 33k
poorfags getting btfo
Not necessarily. 174 guilds have already killed Mythic Archimonde. 174 x 20+ raiders that are going to be furious they have to farm valor again. That doesn't count the people who don't give a shit about it since its last tier.
It's not going to stop bleeding as much as everyone thinks.
>174 x 20+ raiders that are going to be furious they have to farm valor again.
Nope. They've beaten the current content. Outside of literally going for M Warforged with socket gear or world's fastest kill, they have no reason to give a shit about valor
It sure makes selling Mystic Carries a lot easier though
no one wanted you here anyway, fuck off
One of us, one of us, gooble gaable gooble gaable
This guy http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/19288189526
>Didn't care for raiding at all
>But dat moose
Welp, time to get that ball rolling. If I have 700ilvl from PvP conquest gear would that get me into normal or a heroic pug? I really don't know about this stuff this xpac.
Well for me I'm just going to log in after the patch and buy a arch kill for like 150k or whatever they are going for and end sub.
If they made it for normal, that would be nice and cheap.
>The difference between heroic mode and normal mode is time to play and age of the player.
>The message blizzard is sending to normal mode raiders is that if prioritize their raid above our jobs, spouses, children, etc we can get a reward.
>prioritize their raid above our jobs
>all the heroic gear I spent months grinding for will bill outplayed by people who bought conq gear/did mythic dungeons
B-but I quit my old guild because they weren't making any progress to jump into another guild that wasn't making any progress...
Came back after a long break and instead of raiding, I've decided to finally go for the Salty title. I just need two more of those goddamn gold coins and to win the Booty Bay fishing contest. Maybe everyone will be too busy raiding to enter.
So as someone who missed a big part of 6.2, whats a good way to gear up for HFC in a short amount of time? Sitting at 686 but want to get a little stronger before I start looking for pickup groups.
Whats a good way to do this, Empowered Baleful? Conquest gear? Mythic Dungeons?
yeah this. There isn't a whole lot to test outside of Cata Timewalking.
On a side note, why in the FUCK would they bring back Grim Batol of all things. Might as well add Shadow Labs while we are at it.
don't worry guys you've got a bunch of dungeons you did hundreds of times in previous expansions to hold you over for the next year before Legion comes out
>inb4 shock announcement at Blizzcon saying Beta has already begun and tester invites for wider beta begin from the second the opening ceremony ends with a release date window of Spring 2016.
>Can't raid anymore since I got a job and my shift patterns are all over in the place
>all the tears over the meme mount being heroic and above only
>m-muh real life though
>m-muh girlfriend/wife/kids though
holy shit, casuals will use any excuse nowadays won't they. heroic arch is a fucking joke
b-but i started playing in warlods of draenor
The only good thing WoD did was expose the 10 man baddies. Gotta love dem tears.
>b-bring back 10 m-man raiding! i-i miss m-my easy loot and a-achives ... m-muh friends and f-family!
>All these people claiming 10-man raiding was as hard as 25-man
Amount of guilds that killed Ra-Den on 25 while it was current: 366
Amount of guilds that killed Ra-Den on 10 while it was current: 4578
>So not only did Jonathan LeCraft, senior game designer, announced that the next expansion would be released sometime in the latter part of next year
>latter part of next year
>latter part of next year
>latter part of next year
>latter part of next year
>latter part of next year
you realize that's because there was like 20 times the amount of 10 man guilds vs 25 man guilds right? That's because unless you played on a High Pop server you couldn't maintain a 25 man roster enough.
And now, look at Mythic, and guess what? The only guilds running Mythic at ALL are the ones on High Pop servers! Imagine that!
>implying that isn't the exact same thing that pizza places do telling you that your food will be there in 30 minutes when they really expect to have to you in 15 minutes or so
Going through the realmlist just to see if you were right, I had to go through 3 medium pop servers before I found one with guilds that had downed Mythic bosses (Twilight's Hammer), and I had to go through 2 low pop servers before I found one (Stormrage)
That's only on EU, though, no idea how US is doing.
>pay $60 for WoD
>pay $15 or 30k g a month (Damn, you 'muricans have it easy, it's 55k in EU)
>Don't be a fucking shitter and pick a low pop realm if you want to raid
Good job on fucking up the third step, Anon.
I'm not responding to your baits but quit defending blizzard kikes, holy shit. How the fuck is someone supposed to know when they start the game that picking a medium pop realm is bad for the game? And later, they want to raid, they have to pay for blizzards incompetence? Holy fucking shit shut the fuck up.
>Should I pick the realm with lots of people or the realm with some people?
>Subbed about a month ago because I have nothing better to do with my life
>Get to 100
>Feel at an immense disadvantage because everyone else has done all the raids a million times
>PUGs basically asking you to have gear so far above the raid's item level that nobody needs anything that could possibly drop, and also to have heroic/mythic achievements for a normal difficulty run
>Turns out I rolled on a fucking ghost town of a realm so there are zero guilds that would carry a noob like me
Might have to get a server transfer just to find a decent guild. What's a good one for EU Horde-side?
>when the threads weren't spammed and samefagged by furries and their low res pics
sorry anon. panda was a phase. fem goblins are for life
But Cata was good, minus DS being too short.
>Talent trees weren't fucked
>Great pvp balance
>Right mix of dailies and story
>Interesting and difficult dungeons (4.1)
>Good raids (DS too short)
>They actually added more dungeons after the initial patch
yfw Legion introduces Timewalking Raids
Cata wasn't good but it definitely wasn't bad
Many people for some reason always say how Cata is literally worse than Hitler when this isn't the case at all
but yes, Cata had a lot of good things about it
>Trying to do those two with people who may have never had to do them when they were current
It's because people forgot everything other than 12 months of Dragon Soul.
Cata was fine, it had the best talent tree system and the Blizzard hadn't cut all the iconic class abilities yet.
Most people who play this game started in WOTLK, WOTLK was the start of many horrible trends with this game
People like to talk shit about how "MoP/WoD babbies" are the worst, yet Wrath fags are the worst
Things that should(probably) happen in WoW:
1: Never launch an xpac without flight at the start.
2: Always give players a reason to do things; pets in old raids are a good start.. so is adding valor to instances that, let's face it, were severely underplayed(almost fixed with satchels, another thing "mysteriously" missing from wod at launch), the heirloom upgrades from quests are nice too, but don't do much good long-term.
Valor points will fix that(dem gear upgrades, mang). Speaking of dungeons, that brings us to:
3: Give highly geared and skilled players queue priority, especially those that chain-queue solo. Why?
So they can carry more people through dungeons faster, less time spent dicking around, less likely to wipe, ideally higher player satisfaction all around(reduced queue times possible for all, and faster runs = less time wasted = more fun. "Carry" players will be afforded faster queues in return for essentially carrying people through, which they would likely do anyway.).
>Blizzard actually admits they fucked up by removing valor
>Bringing it back and essentially giving us reasons to do dungeons again
I'm suddenly cautiously optimistic for Legion. Its really something for Blizz to swallow their pride and fix things.
LFG, you shitters
>1: Never launch an xpac without flight at the start.
Wrong. The questing in WoD was some of the best questing experience I've ever had, if I had flying while doing that, it would've completely ruined the feeling.
They should however give you flying (On alts as well) after you've finished the questing experience.
My bad, that's what I meant, the achievement was pretty cool, but waiting around for months not knowing when flying will come, if at all, was awful. Then when it was finally announced, rushing through everything only to have to wait a month and a half was just terrible..
If the achieve would've been in at the start then that would've been amazing; it actually makes having flying feel a bit more substantial.
fug i forgot wotlk
1) Wrong, give flight when first raid tier opens, for loremaster, explorer, treasurer and reps if they don't fuck it up so badly again.
3) y fucking e
is all this fancy new content worth coming back too????
>people who don't want flying from the very get go
unless it's something locked by a cheevo, there's no reason for this. having a feature timelocked to make content last longer is fucking lazy as shit
>fancy new content
>2 mounts, 1 is a rare drop from an event that happens once a month, other is fairly guaranteed from H Archie
That's not a whole lot of content.
This is starting to trigger me.
Why is it so damn hard to find a crossfaction scene with a goblin?
So I went to go farm some saronite and titanium since none seems to be on the AH and all I keep getting are these fucking saronite nuggets. Will this go away once I get to the wotlk mining levels?
To be honest, leveling a character in draenor with flying was a bit more fun. I felt very free from my garrison and could go where I pleased. I didn't need to follow questlines because there were so many treasures and rares to find.
Of course, I already had loremaster so I knew what the questlines were, which was a smart thing to include in the achievement.
It was very memorable, spending a lot of time in Gorgrond and attempting to complete the Gorgrond Monster Hunter achievement while leveling was awesome. I really cleared that zone out.
Leveling through questing traditionally was really fun in WoD, yes, but being able to fly around and find things that give you relevant rewards and exp was much more enjoyable to me.
I agree that levelling is really enjoyable with flying, but only after the first time around. Getting to experience the story in the zones through all the quests and such made it so much better than just flying around picking up treasures, killing rares, and doing a few quests inbetween.
So yeah, an achievement requiring Broken Isles loremaster seems to be the way to go.
I'm in agreement with you there. I think I was able to appreciate the freedom of flying BECAUSE I had spent the time to do all the quests, find a decent number of treasures already, and completed all those bonus objectives.
I think they'll stick with this model of flying in the future. It is so much more satisfying than paying 5k gold on each character just to get off the ground. That really adds up. I still don't have pandaria flying on my main because of it.
Long as you're able to complete the Legion achievement without completing the quests of one of two diametrically opposed factions... I still don't have Netherstorm loremaster cause I can't bring myself to break Aldor/Scryer neutral on my characters.
You'd think with the advent of Shattered Sun Offensive that you'd be able to get exalted with both.
Looks better than Murozond imo
I don't like how the bronze/infinite dragons have that fucked up big head and heavy limbs. Doesn't look good for flying animals.
Maybe if they were ground-bound dragons, but these dudes fly.
The mount looks so much better as a flying mount.
also alliance version
I was fine with most of the achievement save for doing the shitstain tanaan jungle for useless reps. past that it was fun doing the cheevo for flying. and if they made it account wide for free flying, even better.
how long would it take to get flying in draenor if I literally have never done anything after leveling through it? I have never upgraded a garrison beyond level 2 and have never been to tanaan
>tfw no trap qts on twitter will post to blizzard wearing these with their bulges showing
>tfw not an attractive women with nice legs so buying those leggings is useless
>tfw no gf that plays wow who would wear those leggings
>tfw dudes are going to be the #1 purchaser of the leggings anyways
What, these? I would NOT wear this even in the privacy of my own home...
Maybe if you're stick in the early 2000s, bro
They look better than fake armour skin for leggings, imo
And these are for women, which can definitely pull the infernal leggings off without seeming edgy.
Yet you're comfortable with the fake armour skin? The infernal ones look like an actual legging design.
Maybe it's just me, though. The armour doesn't look bad but there are so few tops you could wear that would make them tasteful. The infernal leggings are just black and green/orange/purple and honestly those green ones look nice with just a plain black top.
Ya, you'll want to be doing heroic. Normal probably only has a few select drops, like tier and trinkets, that you could use. Mannoroth and Archimonde normal are good, but at 700+, heroic is much more your speed.
TOO HOT FOR YOU?
I miss BRF already tbh, maybe just because I never progressed past heroic Blackhand
Was that Troy Baker in this cutscene?
Because man, a proper 100% pure evil cackle is a dying art these days and he nailed it.
That is a cackle worthy of a mantle and a glass of brandy on a stormy night.
This cutscene still gives me hope that we'll still fight Grommash. The animators did a great job showing his hesitation and sadness when picking up Gorehowl.
He's gonna wanna hit Thrall really hard after everything is said and done.
Was Grommash at the original tanaan invasion event? When all of the other warchiefs were overlooking the party on the cliffside? I can't recall.
But, I don't think it'll be hard for him to learn that Thrall killed his son. I think it would be very cool for this Grommash, one of Thrall's oldest and best friends in the MU, to hate Thrall and what he's done.
It would be cool. And that's why it won't happen.
WoD is over, so Grommash goes in the WoD box, never to be touched again.
Uh, Garrosh found Grommash and told him not the drink the blood. Remember the WoD Cinematic?
Garrosh went to the AU and told grommash straight up, I'm your son from the future, listen to me and the orcs will never have to be enslaved by the demons. Don't trust Gul'dan. But let's conquer everything anyways, dad.
There's a short story called Hellscreams on the WoW site, basically Garrosh was in AU Draneor for about 2 years before Azeroth showed up.
It was actually only a few months Azeroth time between Garrosh going back and the Iron Horde showing up but he jumped back longer.
Also Alternate Grom never had a son or any kids, so Gul'dan telling him the truth behind Garrosh was the first he heard of it.
I doubt it. Grommash was such an important character in WC3 that there's no way that they'll leave him be. Hell, we're getting TWO Illidan expansions, so to assume Grommash will never be seen again is just ignorant.
Not long, but they did see and know of each other as per the WoD cinematic with the blood of Mannoroth.
And at least since 6.2 when Gul'dan told him, arguably earlier since Garrosh had Gorehowl.
but Garrosh wasn't HIS son
Garrosh is a son of an alternate himself
what happened in this expansion could show Grom what happens if he lets his son grow up to be a retard
quite educational, I guess
and btw Thrall could kick his ass too, just as he did with Garrosh
>Grommash goes in the WoD box
He was already on the WoD box. Blatant false advertising.
What should i prioritize for my garrison? I started a gem hut figuring that it would provide me cash money. i also have an inn. what should i build next and what do i upgrade first? im sitting on 2 upgrade books right now.
Did Thrall ever tell his parents about the time-travel shit? I got loremaster Horde side but I get the feeling I'm missing something. Basically the story feels like I'm missing at least 2 quest lines of character development.
The Gorehowl Garrosh used in WoD was AU's Grom's Gorehowl. He left his version of it behind in SoO after he made Xal'noth, Desiccated Image and hurled unlimited copies of it as us.
Gorehowl is traditionally used by the leader of the Warsong, and Grom made Garrosh the new leader after he agreed to lead the Iron Horde.
Ho there, anon. Sit down for a minute.
Would you like a cup of tea?
Get your inn to lvl 3 and get a war mill for follower upgrades. Treasure missions are how you get money mostly. Gem hut isn't a standard choice afaik but as long as you have a salvage yard the small buildings don't real. Trading post can be useful, gladiator arena isn't a bad choice from what i've heard, at least if you can stand Assram all day. Barn is probably optimal but trapping is a pain.
