So I'm convinced that the patch destroyed my singleplayer AI.

I entered a Combat Alert at Shago Kallai five minutes ago, and all the soldiers are doing kneeling down behind cover.

One of them radioed in almost immediately that they'd lost sight of me and are moving to my last known position, but they never move. They're still just kneeling in a permanent Combat Alert.

There's many things in MGO that can make a it a lot easier to level. At lower levels its the Walker Gears. You can easily get at least 4 kills when you're on one. After a while you get better skills, like fulton speed and shit that makes the things that give higher experience easier to accomplish. Oncey ou get the Fulton Cannon shit is ez fam

MGO3 might as well be Call of Duty in third-person with sneaking. Kill things, get a high until you die, or get stuck in a rut of pain and repeatedly dying because of something that catches you off-guard, CQCs you or just lag kills you somehow. There's no actual working for Skills, they just unlock naturally as you level up a Class. There's no reason to use custom loadouts except for gimmicky setups because the unlocks for customs are stretched apart ridiculously thin - and attachments are level-up based too, rather than actually using the weapons.

This is somehow worse and more barebones than fucking Call of Duty 4 from 2007.

My guess is pretty simple. Kojima was planning on MGSV taking a lot longer, which is why he had Silent Hills on the side as a major project as well. Then Ground Zeroes got rushed out last year because Konami wanted Metal Gear in 2014, end of story. He pissed off the CEO and finally crossed the budgetary line, and they tore down Silent Hills and his contract in response, forcing Kojima and his team to probably have to hastily rewrite and cut down on numerous things to meet a hasty release schedule while simultaneously getting little time to work on fully finishing the content. Especially when it came to making sure the game was optimized.

Now that's just all conjecture that could be completely and utterly wrong. But it's the most I can really figure seeing as a lot of the ambitions people were paranoid about turned out to be unfulfilled in the long term, and it makes sense to me. Kojima probably got too big for his britches and didn't think Konami would stomp his foot when he got out of hand.

Headshots in mgo2 being 1 hit kill made the game skill based and competitive. Everything being level in height let you win with aim. You did not see new players getting kills on people because theyd be headshotted too fast. Also there were invincibility frames which made spraying the body worthless.

There is an in depth damage analysis for mgo2, from that we know the weapon damages are similar to mgo3, but mgo2 had the i-frames which stopped spraying from working out for you.

It was designed to be a headshot oriented game.

If I fulton somebody when my base is full what happens? I'm at a point where I should probably start prioritizing fultons and looking more carefully at who I'm keeping on my base but I'm worried I'm trying to micromanage it too much and wasting a ton of time for little-no gain.

Any suggestions or tips on criteria on who to fulton? I can't figure out what good elites are, and if I'm not mistaken (probably am), specialists are the ones who will offer bonuses if stationed on a certain platform? Judging from leaks that may or may not be true within Konami itself, Kojima is as much a perfectionist as he's always been. He had like, what, eleven different drafts done at least of Quiet's Theme or some other song in the game? And because he just wanted the game to be the absolute, most perfect thing it can be, alongside FOX Engine, and with Silent Hills also eating up tremendous amounts of money..

Well, Konami bared their teeth and forced Kojima to throw out probably one of his most flawed games ever. The reviews were all intentionally played up thanks to being from a 40 hour bootcamp where few could even plausibly beat the game when playing it mostly-blind, much less form a full review opinion, but after the release and the review high.. Everyone tore it a new one.

The skill curve was there dont get me wrong, but the only place you truly would not have a chance after getting average was survival and tourneys where the best players were organised into their clans and teams.

Also the box popping actually died after 2011, i forget if it was a patch, but it was hardly prevalent outside of those direct 1v1 confrontations you might run into. Regardless it was just a mechanic, when you trained your thumb to keep your aim centered while moving it sideways headshots became easy. The box let equal players express more skill in 1v1 shootouts.

Also yeah the flame was strong with some players, its the adrenaline.

I asked some modders in the Nexus to check something but they're lazy and don't want to do it.

In the early trailers showing gameplay for TPP you could see that Venom Snake was using his Sneaking Suit but he had the REAL MSF emblem as his custom one.

The thing is, this emblem looks like the real deal with the stitching textures applied.
I hate the way custom emblems look on the sneaking suit so I was wondering if the PC version had this texture hidden somewhere in the files.

I'd rather play with this suit that has the real stitching look to the emblem.
Can somebody please look through the game files and try and find it? Maybe even make a mod for it to replace the vanilla Sneaking Suit?

Unfortunately I was only around for a while during 2010/2011, didn't even get to purchase the expansions and mostly just played a lot of games without dabbling in Ranked since I got my ass torn to shreds. I'm having some kind of glitch where at some point while I'm playing my GMP goes way down. Like when I turn it on i have like 4 mil GMP and then I'll be out on the field and I'll have like 1.7

When I close the game and reopen it it goes back to what it was.

So i'm bored after completing the game (fuck S ranks, side-ops and all the animals), figure I might as well do a replay with some mods to dick around. And then the newest Konami V.LOG for MGS5 had me think-
"Wait, why does the Japanese VA for Snake have various lines when starting a sortie, compared to Keifer just having the same grunt? .. Didn't people say there were extra lines or something in Japan-only?"

Now i'm curious as to how to change the language to Japanese while keeping the English text (I think it's via going into game properties and changing it to Jap but keeping my game text in English via its own settings), but would this have problems with my current save? And would it force me to reinstall my mods?

Same happened to me only the roles were switched with me being the interrogator.

I killed a guy who just ran past me while I interrogated his teammate.

I noticed myself that I have trouble seeing others, dark places seem to dark, and that transition from light to dark places and vice versa fucks with brightness in an unnatural way.

And markers above enemy heads are to fucking distracting, I can barely see their heads when they are marked.

Ocelot isn't wrong you know. Venom was the only Snake around at that time.

It's the 90s when Solid gets the code name and he promptly kills off Venom. Then Liquid gets it when he joins FOXHOUND after Solid fucked off to Alaska so there was only one Snake until Solid came back and killed Liquid.

Liquid then became an Ocelot and Solid died on the tanker so Solidus became the only Snake. Raiden then kills off Solidus leaving Solid's phantom.

Then Solid's phantom kills off Big Boss once and for all and the Snakes die.

Well I don't expect this mod to be well made really, looks like he removed the straps from the bra though, so all he has to do is draw nipples and paint the thong a skin color really.

The thong is part of the mesh, and the bra only stops being part of the actual body at the straps.

People really don't remember how shit MGO2 was in the beginning so armed with that nostalgia is makes MGO3 look worse. Same thing happened with Civ 5 where everyone was comparing it to Beyond the Sword instead of launch Civ 4.

Launch MGO2 was fucking atrocious. Konami account bullshit, lag so bad it was hard to play people outside your city, limited choices of attire, buggy hit boxes, practically no maps, only Snake as a unique character, and crazy ass glitches.

MGO2 didn't really get good until the second expansion.

But there was obviously no rewriting. With the exception of Eli's arc, the entire story IS in the game. The circle is closed.

But after Chapter 1, ONLY the the story is in the game! What's missing is more main missions that would have gradually given us the story, instead of getting cutscenes between side ops and then suddenly 43-45-46 basically being plot dumped in succession with no breathing room for the events to sink in.

The average casual player (not us) is probably going to lose Quiet before getting her new costumes. They'll see "we'll make our dead comrades into diamonds and wear them into battle" and then their next mission is 46 so they'll get to see Venom with a glowing shoulder one time in the ACC before their game is over.

I actually like the story a lot. Chapter 2's structure just doesn't give you enough time to take it in. And honestly, I'd still probably have been happy if the chapter was called "Epilogue" and 51 was included, even if it's scale was reduced greatly. Just throw Sahelanthropus somewhere in Africa and do it that way, the cutscenes were even mostly done for it.

This is how you do it, change it to Japanese.

It's counted as a separate game, so it will require a complete redownload (and you can't backup your game folder, going back to English will require redownloading again) and saves are not compatible between the two.

So, I'm at 715K heroism. Before the latest update, with 695K heroism, S rank soldiers were still kinda scarce; would never see anything above S rank.
Now, I see quite a lot of S+ soldiers and a shit ton of S rank, yet at Staff Management, they're just a bit higher than S rank, not even classified as S+.

Even when I extract S+ staff during missions, the extractions results shows them as simply S.

They only meant anything when you had the low level scope that couldn't show skills so interrogating guys to find out "specialists" could get you Boasters, who weren't really specialists. It's not a PW thing, it's TPP. There's series of tapes called "The Hamburgers of Kazuhira Miller" that talk of Miller's entry to the burger business. They're great, it's just a shame there isn't more of this silliness in TPP.

What would you guys rate mgo3 out of? I would have to give it an 8 or 7 out of 10. It could use more features,gamemodes, and basic multiplayer settings. I also dislike the cod style leveling.
