I agree, Sans is my favorite. In the beginning, he's clearly comic relief and you start off thinking he's going to be pretty 2-dimensional, which makes the surprise even more impactful. And, despite everything he's been through, he doesn't whine or ask for anyone's help. He just shoulders the burden on his own, and he's very tired. He even pretends to be lazy, even though that's clearly not the case.

He's a tragic character without making a big deal of himself about it. I think that's what I like most about him.

There are two main things which make me think that. First, this image is of the final rooms of the game. When you reach the top, you flip one final switch to OFF and the game ends immediately. That shape look familiar? Second, there's a mistranslated line which changes a lot. It was translated as "Our son which we brought into this world". However, it SHOULD have been translated as "Our son who brought us into this world".

There are a few other hints but that's the main things for me.

Flowey. The contrast in his personality is terrifying and charming at the same time. Whole story behind him is quite touching and tragic as well. I could also relate to him in some ways. Its impossible to ignore a character like him, especially knowing what he had to go through. Broken and trapped in a freaking flower, his mind and sanity slowly collapsing.
