It's pretty tough to play this way, basically masochistic. It becomes almost impossible to even play the game if you're in withdrawal from the drugs and not sated, you don't need to be taking the drugs all the time (it makes it hard to even have that many, but if you take them every so often before combat encounters then your addiction to them will make it essential to keep taking them basically). Jet being a permanent addiction is also inconvenient (obviously this junkie isn't going to get Myron to make Jet Antidote).

Decent, but badly balanced. Damage and health values inflated out the wazoo. I made a semi-successful mod and the bounties author reached out and asked me if I'd playtest, and then ignored all my feedback when I provided it saying everything I had an issue with was "an intentional design choice".
They were all pretty well written and fit in well with the game though.

Decent overall. I liked 2 for the whole idea of just walking into a town and finding a bounty poster hanging. Russell was alright, although the guy himself can be a whiny cunt at times. The inheritance is good and had the better companion, and 3 was decent, although the bad guy Mark might be a bit of a disappointment. He comes off as really edgy, which really shouldn't come as a surprise considering the first thing you hear about him is how a farmer took him in and after a few weeks he carved up the dudes face, raped his pregnant wife in front of him and cut out the Fucking baby afterwards.

Fallout 1 was too fantastical for me with all the super mutants and ghouls being big part of the story. They are fine as a side note, but not being the big part.
Also the game was a little lackluster in your reactivity to the world.

Fallout 2 was definitely the best Fallout game. While the Enclave was boring, the struggle for power between NCR, New Reno and Vault City was great. And the story with the slavers was good.

And how New Reno is looking much better than New Vegas is pretty bad (in lore is the opposite). Bethesda and their Creation Engine is pure trash - you can't have more than 5 NCPs in one zone.
