Thing is this isn't Destiny 2 its just Destiny. Its a console for MMOs meaning it doesn't give expansion packs and patch updates it ships out new discs. This is just more content being added to the existing Destiny namesake so it counts as part of the 10 year promise

That 10 year contract was for 4 games and 4 major expansions. They've been late to deliver Destiny 1 and 2 on time, but it wouldn't matter since they'll early terminate the contract due to how well the game has sold since there was clause about sales. I don't remember, but I think it was if it generated $1bn the contract is terminated. Feel free to correct me on that though.

No you're just a normal person who understands the fruitlessness of these infinite grind games. As soon as someone puts one of these loot lust gauntlet games in front of my face I immediately wretch. Games without goals can be fun if the gameplay is varied and there is enough to do that feels different than grinding, but these games where you do the same thing over and over just to unlock the next tier which is the same thing over and over but with higher numbers make no sense to me.

The problem lies in the fact that the stuff you do at the end isn't any different than the stuff you did to get there and the only reward is shinier items with bigger numbers. For those that value substance and aren't blinded by arbitrary inflation they easily get bored of these kinds of games quick.
