It's Japans fault because the rights to that content is also sold to companies in the western contries.

For instance Funimation would need to give legal rights for a product to be used if they have the licensing rights to a costume or character shows up in that region.

Setting up the English patch is incredibly easy, all of 1-4 is English translated and everything that pertains to gameplay is translated. The best time to start playing PSO2 has already passed.

The current episode just started and it will be a while before they change this awful pile of shit. We've taken a step in class balance that took the game to never before seen levels of "play this class only everything else is shit". Balance changes predicted some time into future include buffing everyone else with better normal attacks (lol) and "buffing some PAs" which says jackshit and won't stop the sudden power creep increase that makes everything a joke even if the buffs are big.

The current episode doesn't even release any decent quantities of content. Literally reimagined and shittier version of old Tower Defense made even shittier with the worsening balance and AQs. Nothing major announced either.

And PSO2 was like my favorite online game during EP3-4 (We're at EP5 now)

They are buffing normal attacks and some PAs without any specifics. It won't change the thing that Hero is too OP for the content either way and anything that isn't solo is a joke. Then even solo on Hero is a joke compared to other classes. Hero was a mistake and deserves to just be deleted and PA reworked into whatever weapons they were taken from, look Techer could finally get PAs on Talis.

EP2 actually had like Ranger/Force/Braver being seen in premade. Braver thanks to Shunka and later Hatou or bow Banish on single target was still not bad, Ranger was WB and Satcan, Force was just mob killing machine and then ilbarta machine or panic on Dark Vibra.

The main problem was that there were too many one maybe two PA/Tech classes and that classes like Hunter or Fighter on anything not single target were pure shit. Doesn't help that those two classes held 6 weapons total. Techer was also useless.

EP3 had Force be good for all killing machine overall but there weren't useless classes. Hunter was pretty strong and Techer provided great support. Also classes began using more than one PA.

EP4 was mostly more of the same except Fighter was almost at the level of Force. Maybe even better when stuff used non standard elemental weaknesses or mixed them up. TE still doing fine for support.

EP5 is literally Hero and maybe Te/Ra to WB shit and buff. Nothing else needed. Hero is the best all the time.

Hunter in EP4 actually held the second best time for Profound Darkness solo when using mostly WL and some Partizan. WL in particular is a clunky and cheesy weapon but has amazing single target (not much more really).

It's been good since EP3. The weak part of Hunter has always been the Sword which was mostly the mobbing weapon due to interesting boss moveset being wasted by shitty DPS values besides one situational PA (okay two but let's not talk about Twister) that too often can't be used in the most important moments. It was still pulling its weight throughout EP3-4. Partizan was always plenty strong single target too, the mobbing moveset was just pretty weak coupled with shitty gear on mobs.

But now it's Hero time so none of that matters.
