They tend to all have their pros and cons.
3 had great battle music and a large variety of it but Tartarus got old fast and the real world fluctuated in quality. Probably my favorite soundtrack regardless.
4 had great real world music and improved on the dungeon music drastically but the generic battle music was the one that got old the fastest, especially because it was the ONLY battle track, didn't change for mini bosses. I'll Face Myself was the saving grace of the battle tracks but the rest was underwhelming.
5 generally just has really good music all around but not the best of anything. Still the most consistent. It's one flaw is the real world music doesn't change as the game goes along, otherwise it's the jack of all trades and seemed to learn from each game.

Pyramid arc takes over a month, with Futaba sleeping in for 26 days if cleared on the first day. Pyramid palace is a straight line with 4-5 save rooms in a single hallway. Pyramid palace has the worst enemy variety with Anubis and ISIS repeated non-stop. It's the shortest Palace with the most drawn out story arc having to be put on a stop by Futaba sleeping in. It's got the most dead air of any story arc in the game.

Pyramid arc takes a full week after completion to prep Futaba for normal every day life with you having lost control of your character for those days.

Space arc happens after Hawaii, taking just about 2 weeks to finish. And Morgana's in fighting costs you 4 days as opposed to the full week taken to rehabilitate Futaba. Take your "universal" opinions straight to /pg/ and die there.

Things that bother me about the 3rd arc/Bank Palace.

1) It was the first Palace to begin the trend of not having cognitive distortions in save rooms and other parts of a Palace. From then on, it was 50/50 if ATLUS would remain committed to Palaces briefly having distortion effects in certain rooms back to reality. IE the school gym in Palace 1 was a church.

2) Bank Palace started the trend of you never physically entering the building. You do not enter the buildings of Bank Palace, Space Station Palace, and Cruise Ship Palace. Not fucking once do you even know what those Palaces look like from the inside of the real world. That really pissed me off in the abrupt change and lack of consistency. The angle of thieves checking out a place before hitting it was dropped decisively with Palace 3 and onward.

3) Bank Palace had no villain confession at the end of the arc to the general public. Every other major villain did.

4) Bank Palace marked the point where the game became automated. Helping out Yusuke in the Museum Palace was a conscious choice by the group, you are thrust into Palaces from 3 and onward. The scene where you name the group and Morgana talks about choosing targets really gets under my skin targets started getting chosen for you, not by your group.

And this last one is personal so I won't count as a full point, but the whole "FOLLOW THAT CAR" routine by a group of teenagers in a huge city and ending in a Yakuza boss' lair was the breaking point for my willing suspension of disbelief. Combine that with Futaba's "le Elite hacking in one night" shtick, that really annoyed me. People like to harp about Palace 5, well there are clear problems before that Palace.

Akechi telling me to do this Palace really aggravated the fuck out of me. I really REALLY wish the game had given me an option to tell him to fuck off with his blackmail and I didn't need his help. I guess what I'm saying is the illusion of free will is taken away much earlier than I would have hoped, is it thematic? I don't know, the blackmail do this for us shtick was repeated twice with Makoto and Akechi. And arguably Sae forcing you to surrender yourself as well.
